i remember a post with a link on how to make barbed wire out of copper wire and some time. well i made it about half as quick,
1. length of wire folded in half and anchored down somewhere.
2. attach an electric drill on the other end making sure to put both ends in the little clamp on the front.
3. spin the drill slowly untill you get the twist in the wire you need.
4. follow the rest instructions in the features on barbed wires.
it was taking me a good fifteen min. to twist the wires by hand, untill my wife said that i should find a machine or a tool to do it quicker. and by god it worked.

You can also use a dremel tool with the small chuck.

Now why didn't I think of that? I always twisted it by hand, which is the reason I don't do much of it!

That's a technique I learned in a model railroad class on how to make bottle brush trees. You bend over a florists green wire in half. lay bristles, like from a paint brusT between the folded wire. With the open ends clamped in a vise and a hook in your drill chuck, slowly twist the wire. trim the bristles and ...instant tree.
