Just got back from dropping my daughter off at college, University of Richmond, and do believe it is the happiest and saddest time of my life.... to date! Do believe I will need to delve in models deeper than ever before!

Maybe she was tired of finding models in her bed?
Oh well.
That just means that gives you an extra room for your models :-)

I was just thinking of this today, I still have a long way to go but I know it will hurt when it does happen. Hell I had a hard time taking her to day school for the first time.

Best Regards,
Robert

Man!.....a couple of cutey-bears to be sure!!

I have three daughter's and one son. My oldest daughter (Heather) has already graduated from college with two degree's and her Master's in Business, my second (Rachael) is attending college right now for a Nursing career. And my youngest daughter, and official holder of the key to my heart (Emma) just attended her first day of Middle School. We just went through that the other day with her (new school, new friends). So believe me when I say, I know what you are feeling. I've been through it a few times now...
My son (William) just entered 3rd grade.....he's cool about it all.....typical guy
Anyway, just thought I'd 'share' as well.

Tread.

Oh, BTW rbeebe99. Your last name is rather unique, and I've been wanting to ask you if you are related to our good member Garry Beebe?
Just curious........

Hi treadhead, I don't know if we are related or not, maybe a distant relation. Did you get the private message I sent you a few days ago

You've got to look on the bright side, more time to build and more space to build/display in. She'll call all the time and talk to you so don't feel bad.

Have a drink,

My day is coming. I have three girls ages 15, 10 and 3. The weddings look to be a real killer too. I attended a client's daughters wedding a few years ago and had to really hold it back when they played the father daughter dance, she wasn't even my kid but the mere thought of it was a real kicker.

I'll probably cry like a little baby when it happens to me. Big bad Marine :-) :-)

Congrats again dad. They do grow up fast, don't they?

I've got to send my son off to school for the first time in a week 8-31.
AM kindergarten, but I've got the advantage that I teach 4th grade upstairs, so I can keep an eye on him.
So it will probably hit his mom harder than it will me.

seems like last week he fit on my forearm, now he's going to school.

John,
I can sympathize a "wee" bit. My little Emily is going off to pre-school tomorrow. Her first day of school!

And yes this is her normal Princess attire she wears around the house.

Cheers,
Jim

Man Jim, I thought I was bad because I still have the Christmas wreath on the door. You have your Halloween stuff out a month and half early or still up after almost a year...

Jim,
I supposed that could be, too. My wreath really is still up on the inside foyer door. Has become quite a tradition around here.
Sorry for the minor thread jack.
Back on topic...
I have a 16 year old step son who just started driving. Scares the hell out of me. Doesn't pay enough attention. Anyway, I won't post his picture because he has already been way outdone in the cuteness department on this thread. He can't decide whether he wants to neuvo goth or mid seventies retro. Makes for quite an interesting clothing combo.
And he tells me I dress stupid...

PvtP- Having seen your original post on this topic I'd like to offer my congratulations & condolences. She sounde like one heck of a young lady, and I can see why it would be so hard to let go. Looks like I don't have to worry about that for some years yet-
This is Logan(like ya couldn't guess), he's 3& 1/3yrs, just completed his first model w/minimal help from Dad(Tamiya Wild Willy 1:32 battery-powered jeep; I clipped the parts off the sprues & pointed to the instructions-that's it!)
Royal, rbeebe- that's a couple of cuties ya got there. How about an arranged marriage?
