All,
Found the address and POC for the Baghdad Hobby Club and got an email back from the POC, SGT Flyte. He says they are still going strong. I plan on sending them some modesl I no longer plan on building. If anyone is interrested in doing the same, here is the address:

SGT Dean D. Flyte
ISG/MCT#4/ SCP-B
Camp Slayer
APO AE 09342

I am sure they will be glad to recieve anything you care to donate. Maybe we can do a Armorame model drive and see how much we can send them.

I would think Tamiya's M1A1/2 Abrams would be a popular kit to send them!

thats a cool idea!! whats this modeling club thing about, is it about just getting kids active in iraq, cuz my boy scout troop is doing the same thing except we're bringing boy scouts back to iraq, i've been really involved in that, i think they could use some guidance like that. most people dont realize that "rebuilding iraq" doesnt just mean physically putting stuff up, but it also means giving people stuff to do!! i'd participate in the model drive! i've got a few things i can spare, especially for those kids

I bet they would like any modern stuf. Soldiers love to have models of their vehicles. They can really relate to it and personalize it.

No, it is at a US Military Recreation area. It is for soldiers' to go and get away from the action for a little while and relax. The soldiers build the models.
