Not to worry, I had the same thing happen to me a while ago. I didn't do a thing for about 6 or 7 months.
You'll get over it, if not in the short time, then you will in the longer interval. I found that once this gets in your blood, it never leaves.

Get married, have kids and soon you will see how you want to get into model building again just for the time alone.

Don't fret. I've been out of modeling for so long that the last kit I bought was a Tamiya T-34 that only cost $9.95, and I never even heard of Dragon models until I joined here. As you can see from the other responses, it's a pretty common thing, but most come back. My only problem is that now that I want to start up again, I can't find a decent hobby shop. Just enjoy whatever you're doing.

Hi Longshanks...
don't fret at your ripe old age of 18 there are many more interests that will lure you away from the work bench....usually in skirts...lol...or driving real cars and bikes.
Enjoy it while you can.
Modelling will always be there and will come back stronger than you can imagine at the moment.
It'll creep up on you...and before you know it you'll be reaching for the scalpel and glue.
Go with the flow.
It affects us all.
I went through a semi-block this year and exorsised the woes through doing mainly reviews and features for site. But I'm back fettling away again.
Cheers
