Gidday from the land of the Hobbits

Just a brief note to say hello and let everyone know after months of viewing this site I have finally subscribed as a member.

The next step will be actually contributing to discussions etc I certainly feel humbled in the presence of some very experienced people who contribute to the forums etc. I will contribute when and how I can.

My interests are, like so many ,WW2 and in particular German armour, vehicles and soldiers all in 1/35th scale. That is my sole modelling interest at present apart from a collection of Chevrolet car models to also work through.

My present philosophy is to build straight out of the box concentrating on developing skills and techniques. The aim is to finish to the highest possible standards each time. The final aim is to get to the stage where my skills will match investing in multiple add ons and manhours etc to commence building the penultimate model of a chosen subject.

I am a member of the local AMPS club.

I have thus far learnt so much from watching and reading at this site. My work is slowly progressing however after seeing some fantastic work displayed here on this site I have a fair way to go before my work could be displayed for comment. I am confident more practice and hot tips from this site will see me on the right path.

Regards to all

Fordboy

To the Da Kiwi Kid thanks for your kind words.

To each and one of you who has said hi and welcome thank you so much you have confirmed to me that this is a great site with a large friendly modelling family.

I am astounded by the responses from all corners of the Earth to my brief introduction.

Ford Boy

Welcome to the sight.

A bit of advice for you--- watch out for MrRoo and Andy007--both a couple of "real trouble makers" :-) :-) :-)

Just kidding Ford-- these two dudes are a couple of the greatest people on the site, with MrRoo being a multi published softskin scratch builder, and Andy007 loving anything and everything---as long as its OD

Sincerely, welcome to this site, its great!

Steve

Welcome Fordboy, You sure picked a winner. I discovered this site at the tail end of a challenging consignment build. I jumped on board right away. It's nice to know my next kit won't be built alone. It's easy to say, I know you'll enjoy benig registered here.

Greetings from the the Northeast.
Welcome Fordboy, Glad you stopped lurking, and decided to come aboard and meet the crew.
Peruse though the site, join a campaign, or group build, and get to know the troops. Ask all the questions you want, someone will give the answer, or point you in the right direction. You find we have fun, and enjoy the hobby, and encourage each other here at Armorama.
