Ciao everyone,
I just finished one side of the cart. I still have three panels to go. I forgot to add anything for scale, but the size of each picture is a little smaller than a dime. Comments are welcome.
Ciao for now

MAMA MARIA! Holy smack RobL, now you have GOT to kit this one out! Better scan your Murales to disc and print 'em to scale for the kit, cause everyone will want to do it but I doubt many have the tim, talent, or patience to achieve what you present here. A dime? I couldn't paint that on an old 5-pound note! (they were Big...)I guess if I decide to do one of these for my Italia dio it will be burned- or covered with rubble! Unless of course someone wants to produce this in a kit with decals for the Murales...(HINT)

Ciao Logansdad and Chuck,
I appreciate the compliments, but like I said, I don't have the first clue about computer software. My wife is the one who helps me with stuff. Chuck - I use acrylics. ModelMaster, PollyS, Andrea and Tamiya (infrequently.) Logansdad - If I could kit this baby out I would. This sucker is a lot of work and is probably going to be a one-shot deal (just for my wife.) I included a couple of more shots since I finished the tailgate with a picture of Mt. Etna.
Again, I appreciate the compliments. They are inspirational!!!
Ciao for now
Rob

this is truly amazing!

the painting is so well done, you are really great at painting eh?

there are not many people who can do this as well as you, heck i bet you did a fair share of cursing and swearing just to paint those sides?

once again, astounding

Hey Rob,

Great looking cart. What method will you use to age it?

Excellent work Rob!!! I've seen a lot of "real" Sicilian carts and the only thing I can say is that if you can tone down a bit the red it will be really perfect!

Marty and Fabio,
I appreciate the compliments. In answer to both of you, I am unsure right now of how to weather it. But, that is the reason why that I have used that color of red. I figure if I do weather it, the brighter the color - the better it will handle weathering. I'm not even sure if I am going to weather it or not. After all that work, it might kill me to do it. Fabio - my wife is from Sicily (Provincia di Catania), and I am doing it in her honor.
Ciao for now

Che č adesso un grande pezzo di modellare. Non parlo realmente l'italiano, ma ha usato questo luogo di traduttore, aggiungere un piccolo sentimento di cittā natale. ...... Gli sguardi realmente piacevole.

Gee hope that translator site didn't pull a fast one on me, and translate what I wrote into something
offensive or off color.

Thanks, Dave. I don't really speak Italian all that well either. After 16 years of marriage, I should be better, but.....Grazie comunque. Ti ringrazio per il complimento.
Ciao per adesso
Rob

P.S. I thought that natale was "Christmas." Boh!
