I decided that since I did a good job of the rear deck I would rebuild the rest to match. So far this is the stage I am up to.
I have also posted these pics in a real truck forum so owners of this truck can tell me if I have got it right. If so I will build a second "master" of it for molding.

Looking great mate!
Please explain how you performed the side profile (Pic #2) upward curve.
I think I already know, but want to hear it from your 'golden' lips. #:-)

Tread.
Tread I drew the shape onto a flat sheet of 80 thou evergreen plastic sheet and then very carefully cut it out by hand and finished it with file and sandpaper.

you are quite right it is. It also has that funny american system of measureing on the other side.......what do they call it ...Oh yeah feet and inches LOL :-)
On a more serious note I forgot to add that to do the second one I glued them togeather with a couple of drops of superglue at a few places along them and then filed and scrapped them so they were the same.

Maybe we DO need a special medal for the "scratchbuilder of the month"...
But as long as we don't, you'll have to do it with this salute :
Wonderful job !
