I remember Verlinden used to sell a set of star Dry Transfers for their Jeep in 1/16 but I don't know if it is still available or if it had the circles (I don't think so)

Archer makes some nice stars in circles in 1/35th and 1/72nd. The biggest ones on the 1/35th sheet might work for you.

I've got the Verlinden set #866 that is listed as 120mm (don't know the 1/over scale that it converts to). I bought it for my 1/16 Tamiya M4 105, but never ended up using them. Contains big stars in a variety of patterns (with/without circle) and USA numbers. They are up for trade if you are interested.

30 stars in plain and stencil style circles. 4 each 1.4 inch
(3.6 cm), 4 each 1.13 inch (2.9 cm), 4 each 1 inch (2.54
cm), 4 each .9 inch (2.3 cm), 4 each .8 inch (2 cm), 4 each
.7 inch (1.8 cm), 4 each .6 inch (1.5 cm), and 2 each .4
inch (1 cm).
i didnt realize the 1/35 got that big

Oh, yeah. Some of them are BIG -- look at Allied vehicles in Sicily and Italy and you'll see some circled stars that seem way too big for the hulls they are on -- the circles are broken because they ran out of hull to paint them on.

Check the 4D Modelshop in London. They sent me some metal stencils in many scales. They might have what you want.
