The rhyme as I remember it goes;
1 fat hen,
A couple of ducks,
3 brown bears,
4 running hares,
5 fat females fixing for a fight,
6 cocky sock cutters,
7 sheet slitters, happily slitting sheets, upon the slitted sheet I sat,
8?
9?
10 pheasant pluckers, happily plucking pheasants, I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant pluckers son, and I'm only plucking pheasants 'til the pheasant plucker comes.
:-) This game is great fun and it soon becomes impossible, because every fault gets you a forfeit (usually two or three fingers of a pint of beer) followed by another attempt when the round returns to you. It starts with the first line, repeated by all in the round, then the second line gets added to the first and repeated by the round, then the third line added to the first and second etc. I recommend you try it in a group of 5 or 6. But.... the point is, what goes in lines 8 & 9?
I call on you all for help!
