While playing around in the garage, I devised a way to make copies of small accessory items using RTV and a hot glue gun. I've made about 10 copies so far, and it seems to work out just fine.

I read somewhere about using RTV to make molds, but didn't have and plaster, or resin, so I fired up the glue gun and tried it. The glue cooled in a matter of minutes, and popped right out of the mold. With a little clean-up the parts look great. Crisp details, and it seems to take paint very well. (I tried tamiya acrylics, testors enamel, and craft acrylics)

Thanks for listening to me rant, and hopefully you learned a new trick.
