@ 1300 Tales of the Gun
Japanese Guns of WWII

As Japan bombed its way into the Pacific during WWII, Imperial soldiers carried pride, a sense of invincibility, and an arsenal of clumsy and outdated weapons. Convinced that the tactics and tools that led to victory over colonial enemies would be just as effective against the Allies, Japan would see its weaponry lead to defeat. TV G

@ 1400 Automobiles
Jeep

Drafted into WWII, the weird-looking jeep forged streams, dug ditches, powered wash tubs, and served as a wedding altar. After the war, it became an international sensation. But was the design stolen from its creators? TV G

@ 1500 The Great Ships
The Dreadnoughts

How did one awesome battleship spark the 20th century's first arms race? Journey back to turn-of-the-century England for a look at the HMS Dreadnought and one admiral's devastating vision. TV G

@ 1600 Lancaster Bomber: Target Germany
The Royal Air Force's Lancaster Bomber ranks alongside the legendary Spitfire as one of the finest British aircraft of WWII. It was the most successful Allied bomber in the European Theater, able to carry almost twice the bomb load of other bombers, and carry it further. Using detailed color re-enactments, along with unique color archive film and interviews with veterans, we take viewers on a mission with an RAF bomber crew over Germany. Produced in association with the Imperial War Museum, London. TV G

One of the few things I hate about being stationed overseas is the lack of good ole American couch potato cable TV.
