Be well Arthur!!
I too am going thru the nicotine withdrawals, haven't had one since last Dec 31. It is tough especially after smoking for 35 years, but I'm doin' ok with it (so far).
I pitty the poor Mrs. here as I ain't been all that pissa to be around I'm sure. Really, the only thing that's keeping me 'in check' here is her firearm collection, and I'm sure that by now, all her various calibers have my name on at least one round.
I've put on a few stone too and now she has me on a diet that does not allow any alcohol (cholesterol problems too) and that just triples the pissin' me off. No food, no beer and/or rum, no cigs....

Aye, a miserable bleeper I am too.
Get well Sir Arthur! Hang in there! :-)

I'm going on about two years now sense I lit up, but I had to cheat, I went to Copennagen, or Grizzly which is a lot cheaper, like a 1.30 a week. There was times I smoked 4 to 5 packs a day, and the one thing that made me most of all quit was, thinking of how they are spending all that tax money they put on the cigarettes. That not a penny goes to where they say it does.
Now if you can get away from tobacco all together then I'm with you all the way, I just wished I had the power you got Arthur
Hope you get well soon, looking forward to seeing you back to your old self.

You should give it a try Gunnie, it may cost a fortune and make my breath smell like an ashtray but it does look cool to smoke.

Wishing you fast recovery Arthur. I know it sucks but you gotta do whats good for you. I know I did. Been smokin' for almost 20 years & I've been clean for almost 2 years now. Never even dared cheat & I quit just like that, cold turkey. Best regards.

Best of luck, Arthur. I already know 13,14,15, etc. year-olds who are already smoking. A bad road. These kids are using about 60%-80% of their tiny minimum wage paycheck on it. Sad, really.

Best of luck and have a speedy recovery.

Thanks for your time.
