I am sorry about not replying,or getting involved in the recent figure posts, its not that i have lost interest in you guys, but down to a very bad chest infection which laid me low,but i have been assured that if i give up smoking i will recover to some degree,so for about two weeks now i have been nicotine free, but as you smokers among us will understand i am very, very pissed off,but as they say, such is life,or not, hope to post some pics soon.

Be well Arthur!!

I too am going thru the nicotine withdrawals, haven't had one since last Dec 31. It is tough especially after smoking for 35 years, but I'm doin' ok with it (so far).

I pitty the poor Mrs. here as I ain't been all that pissa to be around I'm sure. Really, the only thing that's keeping me 'in check' here is her firearm collection, and I'm sure that by now, all her various calibers have my name on at least one round.

I've put on a few stone too and now she has me on a diet that does not allow any alcohol (cholesterol problems too) and that just triples the pissin' me off. No food, no beer and/or rum, no cigs.... Aye, a miserable bleeper I am too.

Get well Sir Arthur! Hang in there! :-)

I'm going on about two years now sense I lit up, but I had to cheat, I went to Copennagen, or Grizzly which is a lot cheaper, like a 1.30 a week. There was times I smoked 4 to 5 packs a day, and the one thing that made me most of all quit was, thinking of how they are spending all that tax money they put on the cigarettes. That not a penny goes to where they say it does.
Now if you can get away from tobacco all together then I'm with you all the way, I just wished I had the power you got Arthur
Hope you get well soon, looking forward to seeing you back to your old self.

Great Wishes Kerry

You should give it a try Gunnie, it may cost a fortune and make my breath smell like an ashtray but it does look cool to smoke.

Wishing you fast recovery Arthur. I know it sucks but you gotta do whats good for you. I know I did. Been smokin' for almost 20 years & I've been clean for almost 2 years now. Never even dared cheat & I quit just like that, cold turkey. Best regards.

Best of luck, Arthur. I already know 13,14,15, etc. year-olds who are already smoking. A bad road. These kids are using about 60%-80% of their tiny minimum wage paycheck on it. Sad, really. Best of luck and have a speedy recovery. Thanks for your time.

TA!,guys, after you comments and best wishes i feel like this instead of this although i think the other half wishes i was like this .I was in the pub the other day, minding my own buisness drinking a lovely pint of Indian Pale Ale when this guy pops onto my shoulder and whispers in my ear "go on have one cigar, its not really smoking, and you can quit later",but this other guy pops up on the other side " what would you really like, a smoke or another lovely cool pint of Real Ale?"result, giving up is not easy but it has its moments :-)
