I have an extra copy of the old Boresite magazine with a "Dog Pound" article on it. The modeller built the West German version. I can send you the magazine if you want it.
The kit is supposed to be bad, but the article will help you.

Right now it's the best M-41 available, the other being the Renwal/Revell/Matchbox M-41 in 1/32 scale. Skybow has an M-41 on the way and it will blow this 35+ yr old kit away. As far as accuracy, it is an accurate kit, but the detail is mainly molded on since it was designed to be a motorized toy. A nice representation can be made with some after market parts like the Eduard PE, Jordi Rubio barrel and a Tank Workshop mantlet.

Thanks for the info guys. If I decide to get it I may take you up on the magazine offer. I will pay for the magazine and any other costs if I do. That is a very generous offer.

Someone gave me the magazine and postage will cost a few cents so don't worry about it.
I forget the about the Skybow kit, I'd wait for that to come out... although, fixing up the Tamiya kit would be a nice project if you like fixing up old kits and stuff.

I am building my first armor model right now so I think I will wait for the other kit to come out. Right now I want to work on basic skills and I am not ready to dive into re-constructing kits. Thanks again for the help.

Then the Tamiya Bulldog is a good kit for you. Easy construction, fairly accurate, but has the molded on details. Good practice kit for a beginner or expert who wants to superdetail.

I had a lot of fun building my Tamiya Bulldog - I recommend it too. You don't have to superdetail everything out there to have fun with a kit. I will buy Skybow's kit, but I doubt I'll like it more than my "Bull Dog" that I built out of Tamiya's kit...

Tamiya's is the only game at the moment, and not so bad that you can't have fun with it.
Along with Skybow's announcement of a new M41, AFV Club has one in the works too. Will be interesting to see em both.

If you are looking for a good kit to start AFV modelling with and one which will go good with the M41 then try to get a hold of Italeri's M47 Patton. Currently it is not in production but I'm sure someone has one somewhere.
