I've had a trouble with my Model Master Cement. I think the cement has build up on the tube. The problem is, how do I clean it? Ok, I tried drilling the hole using a tiny drill bit .01 with a length of about a 2-3 cm but it didn't solve the problem. I think it has built up on the bottom of the tube. I tried also hammering the hole on the tube using a needle but it is very hard. Now I don't want to cut the tube all down. That part is very useful for me. Any help?

Dump your tube cement, and go with a liquid cement in a bottle, like Tamiya. I would say Testors....but I don't know if they still make their liquid stuff in a glass bottle anymore.

The one in the black wedge shaped bottle? Same thing happened to me. I had to cut the tube down and then used a pin drill to drill out the hardened cement. That stuff attains the hardness of a piece of styrene.

I think I prefer this tube glue. Very useful in closing up gaps in wings.

Um, I've been using this stuff for years without a problem - but - I kept the little "key" that comes with the MM Liquid Cement. You know, the one you use to insert into the needle and open it up if clogged. Hope you didn't throw it away...

If so, do you have access to a Hat Pin? They're long enough and often thin enough...

the glue comes with a small wire,
so if the glue drys in the tube u just push the wire though,
and it will break the clog

I would say to dump that tube.... and either use super glue or liquid glue...
I suggest to get close up and personal, Use a tooth-pick sharpend with an X-acto knife.
Here is what I do......Pour your glue on a piece of paper, use the tip of the modified tooth-pick and apply to needed area..... the wood will absorb some glue, so use alitte more then required when apply...
When that tip is used up,, Use the X-acto to cut a new one....

My MM bottle, the metal tube will pull out and you can clean it from the back end.

Errr... I believe mine has none. I'll post pics later.

Hat pin = any pin longer than a couple inches.

If you are usign the stuff that comes in a black wedge, it should have come with a couple wires to poke it clear. If it didn't? Bummer.

It's almost tube glue and is better replaced anyway. You shold NEVER use cement to fill a gap!

Yep, Testors liquid cement in the glass bottle is still available. I ditch the brush-in-cap and use a microbrush to apply it. I like the stuff in the plastic bottle, the drying time is slower, but it seems like I too was unclogging the bottle every time. So I bought an empty paint bottle, and poured it in there. Works like a charm now, no clogging!

Here you go

I think the clogging goes in that red circle. As you can see, it is in the plastic bottle with a plastic cap (semi-clear one)

Ok I'll ask the obvious dumb question of the thread.....

Is there glue in the bottle or is it empty....I ask because I had the same problem with the same bottle about a year ago and the dang bottle was empty....(doh!!!!!!!!!!)........

The item is still new (almost). I think it's been a week since I used that thing. Right now, it clogged.
