AJ, I will be there!!! Hopefully I will have a chance to introduce myself

I was actually hoping to enter a couple of vignettes but time (read: bathroom remodeling) did not permit me to prepare them properly. Oh well, there is always next year.

I'm the guy in the picture with the dark blue shirt (Sabot is the guy in front and Tank Carl is the guy on the left). Look for me and definitely say hello. If there's a bunch of us from here, we can do another group shot.

Carl,
We gotta fix that photo though. Man...you look a bit stretched.

Have fun at the show. Wish I could jet out for it. Maybe next year!

I saw several members there and got positive comments regarding the Armorama denim shirt. I entered three kits, the Matchbox Comet, TIE Tank and Monogram UFO flying saucer. Interestingly, the UFO flying saucer placed 3rd in the sci-fi category, but nothing else . I almost did not enter it because I didn't think it was very good, but the judges thought it was better than the TIE tank. Must be because I bought it built off of eBay. :-)

All three of my kits were made because of Armorama group builds: Winter Sci-Fi, Mission to Mars Sci-Fi, UK Commonwealth build. I scored some good deals there, 50% off of Eduard PE sets, $10 Strv 103C, $3 1/72 scale Esci M60A1.

Dave S. (aka Dixon66) won second place with his Gundam kit from the sci-fi winter build. Olaf won something as well, but I think Al won everything else but the car category.

I didn't take that many pics myself, but teh club did take pics of just about every winner. (Some guys just have to pack up early Of course that means they might have taken first in category by get knocked out of competitin for Best of Show.) I'll post what I have when I have a little bit more time. I was entered 6 models in 4 categories and took seconds in vignettes and collections (the Mountain Men Carl posted above).
