Hi there jomz. Who's who in the F1 today? I haven't got any news about it since I moved out here. Maybe I could catch it in Indiana this season.

Well..there's of course Mr. Shumacher, who BTW took pole yesterday afternoon at Sepang. There's my favourite Juan Pablo Montoya who is supposed to be driving for West McLaren next season, but is still in his very formidable BMW Williams car. Jenson Button, the young phenom drives for BAR Honda, and an up-and-coming constructor "Renault" has Trulli for their driver. Oh yeah, don't forget Coulthard of West McLaren.

The Indianapolis leg of the race is on June pa, diba? Wow!

There's always: http://www.formula1.com/ for more information.

Don't forget Fernando Alonzo with his new hairstyle & his goatie.
Montoya is a really good driver but I keep on noticing something about his car. If it doesn't stop too long in the pit it's engine simply goes to smoke. Either event ALWAYS happens to him. Do you think he's overdriving the car?

Montoya has been known to push his car to its limits. The fact that a lot of his races are DNF attests to that. But I believe that he will replace Shumi as THE F1 driver soon, that is if McLaren is up to the task. They have slipped since the departure of Hakkinen.

Couldn't agree with you more there Bull. One of the reasons why I am behind Montoya all the way is his un-orthodox racing style, he really pushes his engine to the limit -- and that is, IMO one characteristic of a true race driver.

Today though, Fritz' observation has proven true with Ralf Shumacher's blown engine.

Ang galing nang race today! Nakakatuwa.

I had to go to the meeting kaya di ko napanood. I hope to catch the replay. It's really great that both F1 and WRC are shown on TV nowadays. I like the strategies of F1 and the driving masteries of WRC.
BTW, it was good to see Shonen and Lonewolf at he meet, along with Tanker_25, LaTtex and Jeepney! I hope to see you guys again soon, and I hope to see you too Jomz!

Hehe, ako I decided to stay home since I wanted to catch it today, plus this week's going to be a busy one for me. Last replay pa ata kanina nang qualifiers eh. I like watching the qualifying runs because big-crucial racing-strategies are used here too, with the new rules and all.

Star Sports has this tool on their site: http://www.espnstar.com/jsp/cda/sportsonair/tvtimes_legacy.html which enables you to check TV schedules, even download them. IIRC, there's a replay tomorrow morning? Watch it watch it!

I like your observations Bull, re: the technical-driving in WRC and the strategies employed in F1. Nagkasundo tayo diyan.

YAHOOOO! panalo na naman kami everyones writing-off ferrari to excel at sepang kasi michelin runners have had the edge here for the past two years coz high track temperatures suit them, but now, hats off to bridgestone for coming up with the right formula! plus the superb drive of michael!

exciting will be the next race in barhain coz it will be the first time all the drivers will have a taste of the circuit!

Well, hands down talaga sa driving ni schummi, though in retrospect, Jenson Button really stepped up with his driving, plus the Renault's starting to make heads turn with its' performance.

Montoya pa ren ako. Haha! Oh, and yeah cris, I agree with the Bridgestone/Michelin observation.

Sayang si Alonso distracted sa terrorist attack sa Madrid. Nag-panic din si Webber sa first front row position nya hehe. Well-deserved podium by Button! Siguro nag-dadalawang isip na si JP sa Mclaren. Rumors abound that Ralf will be transferring to Toyota next season. Alonso is also rumored to transfer to Williams. Abangan.

about alonzo's faultered qualifying.... well thats what you get in F1 pag nanggigigil, like whats hapening with montoya's driving, sobra kasi gigil magdrive, pag na-overtakang, gusto makaganti agad, both are good drivers i admit pero in F1, being good is not enough, theres discipline, and the patience that i think both drivers still lack.

Hmmm I think the "gigil" is the x-factor Montoya has, so with Alonso. Besides, lumalabas yung gigil nang driver talaga pag na-overtake-an, o kunwari kakalabas nang pit -- it's natural. Take a look at Shummi, he's suffered from this "gigil", too, with his previous spin-outs even crashes -- sanay na kasi manalo kaya pag na-agrabyado pikon. JP M and Alonso just employ their "gigil" in a positive way which works for them, well for Montoya at least.

Tama yung sa F1 discipline and patience, pero kanya kanya talaga yan, lalo na sa motor-sports.

Jeep

Sayang si Weber, nagwala eh. Alonso was really pushing it to Button early in the race, diba? Pero towards the end I though Barrichelo was going to be able to overtake Button -- which would've been a heartbreak for Button.

Kawawa talaga si Kimi. Sayang.

Great "/review". A review. though I don't see the point behind his bashing Montoya. I just don't see the point behind actually gauging these racers with how they react, or view things. C'mon, bakit yung pagtulak ni Kimi sa marshall? Diba diba? Unless of course bias siya (reviewer).

So what if he accused Ferrari? I think in every sport "right" yan nang participants. He didn't actually lose you know, just to be a sour-puss. Besides, being a sourpuss is actually having to "pull-down" the winner (this case being M.Shumacher) whilst JP Montoya was accusing Rubins. Right? Right? Kahit na si Ayrton Senna dati, nagkakaganyan.

My point: it doesn't make a "driver" less of a "driver" by being like "that".

May I relate my point with other sports, too. Dennis Rodman, John McEnroe. C'mon.

Everyone in any sport have their "moments", both good and bad, you know .

I like the review, really.

My point exactly. Hehe! Diba?

Ayun...ayus nga yung review, although towards the end it quite got "out-of-hand-confusing", specially bashing the fans(?).

I'm a big supporter of Brdgestone(a good friend of mine owns the local "franchise") myself, tataka nga ako bakit ayaw nang iba mag ganyan eh. Iba talaga ang Potenza. Although, sa WRC, medyo angat sila -- except compared to Pirelli perhaps?

Can't wait for WRC New Zealand!!

I was just going thru some of my old F1 videos, ang bangis talaga ni Senna. Bar None.

Haha! Ako pa! Wag ka mag alala di naman ako pikon eh, masaya nga makipag kantsawan eh. Basta walang personalan diba?

Konti lang "kaming" supporters ni JP Montoya eh. Hehe! I dunno, I guess I see soo much potential in him -- which some people don't exactly appreciate. I've nothing against Shummi, let alone "hate", so there. Can't shake off my support for JP Montoya though! He's bound for the F1 championship some day.

Good luck na lang. Hehe!

I conferred with my friend whose family owns Bridgestone Philippines, and he says na the Bridgestone Potenza's are really made for "hot"/"tropical" weather. Hmmm, kinda interesting really, since it's not often you see cars which have Michelin tires on them.

Plus, you're not allowed daw to bring a set of F1-standard car-tires unless you're going to be using it for the circuit (legal-sanctioned races) lang daw. Even the in-store display's are synthetic rubber, not the real ones. Galing nga eh, Quality Control.
