Haven't started the kit, yet. But, seeing as how my dad drove one, when he was EOD, I feel a bit obligated. Hopefully, the two I ordered will arrive soon.

WWP Wings and Wheels Publications has a great reference book out on the M-35A2 2.5 ton truck with some good pics of the M-109 also...... not sure about what it would take to backdate it to the A-1 original standard but the book is invaluable to me for the pictures

You can use the AFV Club Gun truck for pretty much everything, except the actual shop. A few tweeks should allow for an easy kitbash. I'm currently awaiting delivery of both kits and a few accessories from Sincerehobby. The total is about $100, shipped to the US(25-90 days). You can pay more for a faster delivery, but it gets quite pricey. I'm looking at the Masterbox US artillery crew and a few figures from Bravo 6 to compliment the truck.

You only need to get the M35A1 Nancy guntruck if you want to backdate it to the earlier M109A1 version. The M109A3 is correct out of the box.
