I remember having seen somewhere, fonts that make the letters look like plastic parts on a plastic tree, just as models parts looks before they are cut away from the sprue.

Can anyone give me a hint where I can download it, preferably as shareware?

I did a search on that site using plastic as the keyword. I found the font, but it said it was $29.95 USD to download.

It did the same thing to me to, but when I clicked the back button on my computer, it disappeared, I think if they can get you to pay, why not, but I guess they seen I wasn't going to pay, so it disappeared, try that instead of clicking it off, hit your back button, then clear your armorama then it should show the free.

I went there again to make sure I wasn't lying to you, and this time it said $9.95, but like I said click the back button, then click the minus on your armorama page, and you will see the free page, and if you figure out what it is for please let me know. Kerry

Yeah, I got the $9.95 page, but I'm not sure that that page of fonts contains the 'plastic' font......willing to bet it doesn't.

But that's OK, creating fonts isn't too hard.

I think 9.95 is for 2000 fonts but plastic is not one of them

This is the closest thing to a "plastic sprue" that I could find. It's called "Snag Mag"

Kerry, fonts are lettering "styles" for use in programs like MS Word or with your email client like Outlook Express.
With the image above, imagine a whole letter written (typed) in that style.

Thanks fellows for your efforts. I hate to be picky but the font mentioned as Plastic arent quite the one.

Usually I use the fonts to make signs for my dios, vignettes and solos. I make them in Word and print them out using different colours and fonts depending on the subject.

In this case Im trying to construct a model related logo.

I think I remember what you are asking about. I think it was Armoredsprue or PlasticBattle that had that in their sigline. Is that what you are talking about?

Thans for the tip, Ive checked out Armoured Sprue as well as Plastic Battles sig lines and PS does not have any except for that funny lookin "Paddy".

AS does have a better version of the one presented earlier in this thread, but (please bear with me) not the one Im looking for. I give google and some free fonts sight another visit.

There, I thought it actually had a purpose in modeling, like making serial numbers on models in that line. Who would want their type to look like that, sometimes it is already hard enough to read, like this type, I got to make sure the I i is not an l or in caps lock L, I use Geogian western cause there is confusion, or at least I think that is how you spell the type I use on my computer, but this type here the large i looks the same as the small L, just my opinion.

Why not do it yourself?

Use any font you want and draw in the sprues? It'd be simple line art.

A few filters in Photoshop and you could make it look precisely like a fully round sprue.
