I know what you mean Shonen.
It is the reason that I have been working on the same tank now for 3 months!

After finding out all of the cool things I could buy, then realizing that I couldn't afford them, I have been trying to find ways to add all those subtle little details anyway I could.

Thank goodness that Armorama exists, or I would have never been able to find a way to do all of the things I wanted to.

...now if I could just find a way to call off of work because of this sickness...

It can't be helped! Now I'm addicted to the tiny brass sheets called Photo Etched. Good thing I'm not inclined to resins cause I'm allergic to it.

You are also forgetting the M113 series. Its a haven for PE parts. I've counted 3 set for M163 Vulcans (gattling gun AA version), 2 M113A2 sets, 3 M113A1 sets, 3 IDF (Israeli) sets, 2 ACAV sets, and 2 other -113 sets...all from eduard alone. Of the above mentioned, 4 are for Tamiya's 1/35 -113s, 7 are for Academy, and one is multi-facted (can be used on different models!

shonen_red 'tis a grand thing, the dread photo etch madness,is it not?

Believe me, you are not alone in this rapidly spreading sickness!

Good luck, my friend! Crack a brew, sit back and enjoy the ride!

Cheers!

Sorry to hear that you've been bitten by the "superdetailing bug" Shonen! It's something for which I believe there's no cure at the moment. I've been bitten by the "do it yourself" sub-species of the bug. On one hand it's cheaper than the most common one, but on the other it make you spend unbelievable amount of time in research, scratchbuilding, etc!

Well don't look here for the cure, I am so far gone there is no end in site(did anybody mention the books that one MUST have for each model?) All I can say is that some poor sod will get one heck of a collection when I go to the Great Beyond!

Well you know you've been bitten by the bug when you have 2 P/E sets one set of Stowage ..A resin replacement mantlet ...a set of WWII Production tracks ..a Collector's Brass .50cal and a verlinden engine and stowage boxes that I won't even use .Three reference books all spread out over your desk ..And this is all for one kit!!! Oh yeah also did a few additions of my own by adding a few bolts and things .Oh well ...at least I go back and build a quicky kit between these rediculous of mine ...(I won't say out of the box but close)This one kit will end up costing way over $250.00 ...but I love this Pershing!!
