Good day everyone,

I have updated once again... the modeling focus this time is on the T27 81mm Airborne Mortar with crew, but there are a number of other additions and updates as well. Most importantly and honorably, is another addition to the Honor Roll page.

Tap my banner below to go there. Feel free to comment, correct and to add anything that you can. Again, I am no expert with these things and I do sincerely appreciate any feedback.

I hope that you will approve, and I sincerely thank you for your continued support!! :-)

What beautiful addition Kevin.
Is that T27 a scratch build? And where did you get the figures?

The Honor Roll is very nice. Great job.

Thank you guys!

Ken, it's a combination of a couple of kits with some added parts and some surgery. The figs are DML's Operation Varsity and are modified to (sort of) fit the scene.

Shone Red, thanks! You must have a top of the line graphics card.

Was a nice little project to keep me out of trouble. :-)

After I got the grasp on just how small these figures really are, you must be one of them paint Gods, or something close to do such a great job, the shades and everything looks perfect, almost looks real, with the grass, and I'd love to know how you done it.

Holy Mackeral Kevin! Superb work. The vignette is nicely balanced between the groundwork and the fig positioning. The subtle shading in the uniform folds is excellent. I do have one nit pick though. Under severe magnification, I noticed that you didn't get the angry look of the eye of the eagle on the Paratrooper's sleeve flash just right. I think if you added just a quark-sized hint of red to it, it would be perfect! I don't doubt that the local college would allow you the use of their electron microscope to get the job done.

Thanks Guys...

Straightedge...

Patience is how I do it (I guess). 1/35th scale ain't that bad to do but don't ask me to 'do it' without my Optivisors on!

Tread...

I knew it! I knew that I screwed it up somewhere! That's supposed to be a claw! I'll fix that tonight for you and take another 115 pictures to sort thru and have it all posted by morning. #:-) I'm sure that the Mrs. won't mind me having another full day and half a night in front of the PC...

Mike...

I airbrush the basic primer coat, but everything else on the figures is hand painted. I love those acrylics mixed with beer!

Thanks for your comments guys!! Come on over for beers sometime!
