Howdy Fella's,
As I'm sure you're all aware of by now, I am a devoted fan of ' Variant's! Any shape, size, or dispalcement. Air, Land & Sea.
So, now that I've got a bit of a handle on this new ability to post pics....I thought I'd start sharing some of the vehicle's I have seen that I would classify as "Vehicle's I'd Love To Model". So, sit back and enjoy some of the photos of these hybrid 'thingies' as they get posted. And...if you have some of your own that you'd like to share with the membership, please don't hesitate to 'share the wealth'!
O.K., not a 'biggie', but something I had stored in my 'to 'Paste' file.
Sorry, for the size, but it's a GAZ-3937 I believe. Built for the Russian Defense Ministry, in the town of Gorky (now Nizhni Novgorod), it boasts a 1.5-Ton load ability and can mount multiple different weapon platforms.

Howdy Garry,
Not sure on the dreaded 'X's over on the Warship Forum side. At first I really thought I must have broke it

, since I've posted a few 'oversize' pics. (I really need to figure out how to resize them). But other Forum's have oversized pics, so that's not it.
I was hoping that it would correct itself (yeah, right).
We'll see.

This is one I'd love to build:
It's fitted with twin .50s and a 37mm cannon.

Oooohhhh, Ilike that one Kenc! I wonder how hard that would be to build? Tammy got the HalfTrack, Skybow's got the .50's, now, who has the 37mm?

Ola People
To hook in on the Tracked smaller vehicles... What do you guys think of this?
This is the type of model I like to built. Not common but neat to see.
Or this type of Kubel (Kubel for Maneuver practice I guess)
Or this one:
Just a couple of not so usual vehicles

Howdy FAUST,
Great pics! I think you and I are of the same mind. I am a ' variant' aficionado to the extreme!
Love your 'tracked' vehicles, I'm working on a 'mattrack' vehicle as we speak.

Yeah I think I can say that I`m into Variations on single vehicles and I really like the look of those vehicles. Usually when I buy a kit I look around if there is something funny to do with the vehicle. This can be a captured vehicle (wich is quite a simple conversion usually a change of paint and markings) or some minor scratchbuilt jobs to change it to another vehicle from the same range. How ever I haven`t built a lot of variations I mostly like the looks of those vehicles.
Same way I really enjoy Cliffs` work with his trucks. Most of them I have never heard of and I really like to see what he does with the old LRDG Chevy.

Speaking of variatons..... While surfing on the web for pics of the DUKW ..... If you really don`t have a clue what to do with your DUKW then this might be what you are looking for:

It's got to be British armour and vehicles of the sixties, seventies and eighties to today. Such as the whole range of CVR(T)s, the whole range of Land Rover varients, Saxons, Saracens, Ferrets, Foxes, Humber Pigs, FV432 series apcs, Warrior variants, Scammell Tank Transporters, Chieftain Bridgelayers, Centurion AVREs. Many of these are available from Accurate Armour, but they're soooooo expensive. Moulded in plastic........ now you're talking!!!!
This life is not a dress rehearsal, so don't balls it up!

Yeah mikeli, that does sound familiar. Not sure if it's that one in particular, or not. I seem to remember an ambulance version of the kubel that looked alot like that though.
Gee, I wonder if anyone makes a conversion kit for the 'manuever practice' version?

Here's another one for ya. After seeing the DUKW in the clothes of a school bus, I'll post this one in the school 'spirit'. :-)
Hopefully either 'Roo or 29 Foxtrot will get a kick out of this one too!
There's a scratchbuild project for ya Cliff! :-)

I can't track down an image at the moment, but I'd love a 1.3th PACV hovercraft.
I have the plans from Euro-Modelismo magazine, and info from the Naval Institute Press, but it's beyone my current abilities..
I heard a rumor that one was built for a resin manufacturer..
if only..
