Just wondered what your favourite knife is?
I've quite a few Xacto's and they are fine, but I would be lost without my Swann Morten.
I suppose I'm more used to the SM, since college days and throughout my career in graphics it's always been the SM. Every studio I've ever worked in has always used them, except here in Saudi. Thats 35 years of cutting.
Cheers
Peter

I've noticed myself grabbing the Scalpel more than the x-acto lately. (it might be because i'm out of #10 blades) It seems to stay sharper longer too!!!

The SM is a real surgeon's tool so it needs to be sharp and stay that way longer.

I have come to use scalpels almost exclusively. Could be due to the "cheap" cost that I get from work. All disposable. #10, 11, and 15 work best, IMO. When they get dull, toss the whole thing.

I started off using swan morton scalpels but have moved to Xacto's as I find them easier to use especially when changing blades and the variety of blades is better.

Due to habit formed over my many years I always instinctively reach for the Swann Moten and if it won't do what I intended, then I look through my Xactos.
But thats just me.

Ta ta for now
Cheers
