As my local model shop has closed I'm looking for recommendations for online UK retailers.
Mostly for paints and supplies rather than kits themselves.
Who has the most comprehensive stocks and tells you what is in stock, offers good service etc?

Hi James
I live in Scotland, but buy most of my stuff from Wonderland Models in Edinburgh, they are 1st class for online purchases and you automatically get a discount for buying online.

James you can't go wrong with Models For Sale (MFS) great prices, a loyalty scheme and fast shipping. I've used them for several years and never had an issue. Max I've ever had to wait for a parcel from them was 4 days.
They also attend shows where if you want to save on any shipping cost you can order and then collect from the show. Their stock levels are live so if it shows out of stock then you can't order it.

Depending on what paint you use then the Airbrush Company may be able to help.

Hi James
Sad news about your LHS. They are truly an endangered species, so I always try to buy what I can locally to support them.
As regards on-line alternatives, there's a bunch of them (including the ones mentioned above). Model Hobbies are also always worth a look, because the discount they give over the list price often covers the postage.
All the best

Thanks for the recommendations - I'll take a look at them.
I also realise that I'm going to have to check out Games Workshop for paints/brushes/varnish etc as they have stores everywhere now.
