I completely bailed on the last Airfix campaign, a Caravelle with Mexicana decals, never even opened the box. Thats ones gone to the bottom of the list, but recently I have this BAC 111, which I think is auspicious given the name of this campaign, I might actually build it, providing we start later next year.

that old...I tell ya its no joke what has happened to the Dollar in one lifetime...

and Ive designed an Air Pacific decal for it, as seen here at the Queensland Air Museum.

"Made in England"... It's no joke what can happen to a country in one life time.

Hi to all!

Here is an update for the Airfix III Campaign proposal:-

We have 23 model builders that have shown interest in this campaign from all across the KitMaker Network.

I am looking forward to getting approval soon.

24 now. Got half a dozen kits but would love to do the 73ft Vosper MTB for the third time, but I really need to build the stash so Mkv Spit in 1/48 scale is more likely

I recently purchased a OO Dapol, Airfix Battle of Britain Class Biggin Hill 4-6-0 locomotive that I'll use in this campaign. Here is a link with a photo of the Airfix box.

The Airfix campaign being near and dear to my heart, I couldn't resist a ribbon design. Here's draft #1:

Hi Jessica.
First draft for ribbon looks good.
Jim has been in contact with me about Airfix III on Kitmaker network and the start date looks like 1st Jan 2015.
I will post more later when approved.

Hi jessica.
Can you swap the number with the Logo and see how that looks?

Hi Richard,

1st Jan works for me, plenty of time t think of a subject.

Nice ribbon Jessica, but agree with Richard, would look even better with the 3 & the logo reversed,

Si

I'm looking forward to this one. Airfix ... seems to be the only campaigns I've finished on time.

In case anyone hadn't heard, this campaign has been approved! You can enlist here, and the official campaign thread is here. This one looks like it'll be a lot of fun!
