I have been having the same issue, looks to be a problem with the adserver.
Cheers Rob.

I seem to get this problem here once in a while as well. I chalk it up to server updates and move along.

I believe Jim Starkweather is upgrading the network and slow loading should be a temporary result of this work taking place.

I noticed this late yesterday and have been working on it. I have unfortunately introduced some kind of server instability after doing a database upgrade on the ad server.
If I can't fix the problem with the existing server I may opt to move the ad server (and associated other sites) over to a new sever. Easy as they are all pretty small.
Thanks for your patience.

Hi Jim
Thanks for the explanation. I too thought initially that the problem must be at my end.
All the best

I have disabled the ads as a short term fix. We are moving the adserver from an older machine to a newer higher performance one.
I am still seeing some issues with lost requests which result in you having to reload or refresh the page even on the primary site server. I think this is more likely due to a problem with the hosting company as I am not seeing any specific load problems on the main server.
Thanks,
Jim

New ad server is up and running. There may be some odd DNS changeovers for a few of you. Seems very fast! It should be as we went from a Core 2 Duo machine to a Quad core i5.
Cheers,
Jim

Is that geek speak for 'it's fixed now'?
No offence meant, as all I know how to do is press a few buttons,(I think they're called keys...) on my laptop and click a rat?... sorry, a mouse...lol

Some of the ongoing issues seem to be tied to the control panel that runs the server. They put out patches to this as problems are found and fixed so yeah hopefully it will.
I have actually been seeing some slow response across the net (Facebook for one), so there may be other factors at work as well.
For me right now. It's working.

I have exactly the same issue, main page not loading most of the time. I have to refresh the page several times to right this comment.
