Second Rate? I don't think so.
Following the uso? I don't think so, too, since I'm pretty sure "uso's" wasn't uso during the 80's.

Well, we all have different opinions #:-) #:-) #:-) . But what I meant about the "USO" was this: When "The Ring" showed up all people watched, got crazy over it & talked nothing but it. After that, A LOT of horror films came out with every plot you can imagine from every Asian country you can imagine, then every girly-girl & rich & famous hunk in body fit shirts started talking about that in their trying-hard American accents. Now that's what I mean about "Uso".

"The Iron Cross? I'm sick and tired of the Iron Cross!"

Hehehehe!!!!! #:-) #:-) So am I (After all those war movies! #:-) #:-) ). But having a replica you can claim your own & touch all you want is a different matter! :-) :-)

BTW, Nice screen shot, where did you get that?

Fritz: Googled it. Don't tell me you're too young to remember that episode of Looney Toons! Yosemite Sam in that episode played a WW1 fighter pilot (Baron Von Shamm). When he received another medal (picture above), he said "The Iron Cross? I'm sick and tired of the Iron Cross!" :-)

Well we do have different opinions, though sometimes it is to be had that an opinion is formulated AFTER watching a movie, lest calling something second-rate is pretty much unfounded -- not that I totally dig this movie -- it's just my argumentative side, talking.

Now I understand what you mean about uso, and I kinda agree with you on that, plus I totally abhore american-translations of these Japanese-cult-horror films, just totally destroy's the authenticity of the story -- somewhat comparable to anime' being dubbed in english.

These movies didn't come out this decade lang ha, tagal na nyang mga yan, mabagal lang talaga mafeature sa ibang countries.

Agreed, I'm better off watching Japanese stuff while reading subtitles than watching & listening to not-so-accurate dubbing.

I have a huge poster of The Chairman by my window, hehe! But don't get me wrong, I ain't no communist -- I just needed it to cover up a broken pane of glass.

Although I do have a Russian Soldiers Headgear, complete with the Red Star.
