Hi Karl,

Thanks for responding. Actually the post wasn't meant to be sarcastic. Before Jun even made his post, I noticed that it was the only thread about our organization on this Filipino Modelers forum. I noted that this thread actually started out started out with a congratulatory and very positive message but ended on a very negative note with accusations of persons being engaged in disinformation.

I am sure you will not mind my post which was simply meant to disprove that we never have nor will ever be engaged in any form of disinformation. If you felt that it was sarcastic, then I sincerely apologize for having you make you feel that way.

Cheers and Happy modeling!

Dear Karl,

I apologize if the post made you guys feel slighted in any way. I never meant to slight anyone - in any way. I merely meant to announce that a Filipino club (regardless of whether it was IPMS Manila, IPMS BAC or whatever local club it is, has won an International event. To my mind, I felt we should be proud of an accomplishment like that - whoever won it. I honestly would have congratulated you guys if you had won it.

If you will notice, I did not post it here in this thread and made a separate thread. If I wanted to flame the discussion, I would have placed it here specifically in this post, right? I did not for the reasons I stated above. Furthermore, the thread is five years old. I think we should give this a rest, shouldn't we?

We have been co-existing as clubs for five years now. I think it is time to leave the past behind us and start forging a new path - a path that will lead to new heights - not as individual clubs but as Filipino modelers in general.

I know. That's why I insisted the discussion be continued on that thread and not here. I also know that the thread is five years old, that's why I felt the sarcasm in it. But it's all well as long as there is no flaming.

No problem, Karl... Never had been my intention to cause hurt feelings. I was just happy that the Philippine modeling community is getting the attention it deserves.

Congratulations to IPMS Manila! Your National Chapter of the Year award surely douses off with icy water any flames written in years past that had tried to belittle and ridicule your club. You have earned the respect and confidence of your fellow modelers abroad with the international award you have received. Continue the good work you have been doing for the good of the hobby. There is no limit to what you can achieve!

Jazz,

Thank you for the kind words. I agree there have been harsh words said about IPMS Manila by some parties but that is in the past.

I guess IPMS Manila and their detractors have grown past all of that and I sincerely think that if all the clubs in the Philippines work together - then the sky is truly the limit.

Here's hoping for another successful year in 2008 for all Filipino modelers.

Jun
