Buck! Holy Moses! Where did that come from?!? Is it 1/72 or 1/48? It looks like the PAF F-8H photo submitted by Bert in F-8 Detail & Scale.
Great work as usual my friend! Nakaka-inggit!

Hi Rysorne,
Buck's PC is on the blink again(too much......anyway) so I'll try to answer for him. This is one of his earlier models so I'm not sure where he got the decals. Very recently though, we(IPMS Phils. BAC) have been able to produce good quality PAF decals for a variety of planes in 48th and 72nd scale. The recently concluded Bert Anido Cup showcased these decals. We are currently in the process of grouping and sorting the decals for marketing locally and hopefully internationally. We will keep this forum posted as to its progress. We hope that finally, there will be quality PAF decals we can all be proud of.

Query: where you get the decal paper? Ordered it online? Or got it from a local source (which would explain the scarcity of blank and white decal paper sheets in stores hehehehe)

The decal paper came from abroad, courtesy of Frank(president, IPMS P-BAC). I don't think there is any local equivalent here that can be used on regular printers so the imported stuff was used. We're trying to get them wholesale to bring the costs down. We tried to get a printer to help us out but they were asking a very high minimum order of sheets. Actually marami din kaming nasira before we got the hang of it. Decals are tricky in the sense that they can go bad during printing, during sealing, and even during application. But don't worry, we're getting there.

Thanks all. I know that deep inside every Pinoy is an interest, a fascination, even, in PAF. And the F-8H is perhaps the most powerful fighter we ever had.
Shonen, the ESCI kit has recessed lines, but theyre all in the wrong places. I used a broken needle tip attached to an X-acto knife handle to re-scribe the kit.
Thanks, Bull for answering in my behalf. My PC is having tantrums again, so Im here in an internet cafe in between hearings. Buti na lang some of the members like GI and Bull are texting me updates.

I always like looking at aircraft models but I don't seem to like doing them. I've still got an OV-10, OH-6, and B-105 but i never get around to work on them.
Your's is really FUNKY man. Too bad your model looks a lot better than the real thing that we have rotting in some airfield up north.
Great effort on the decals. I wasn't prepared to dishout 370php for that PAF decal sheet in JMN. My wife was looking over my shoulders actually. She can understand me buying 2k worth on models but not on "stickers" as she calls them.
What's the color for the B-105 parked in front of the Navy HQ in Roxas Blvd. by the way?

Thanks again, Mondo!
The PN Bolkows are blue. Somewhat blue-gray but much more on the blue side. We were able to talk to the crewmembers of one Bo-105 on exhibit in Sangley a couple of years ago and they told us the colors vary. True enough, the PN Islander/Defender parked beside it had a sligthly different blue. And they both looked freshly painted. We can only assume the paint was just mixed.
I have several photos of the Bo-105 we saw. Unfortunately, its among a pile I havent scanned yet. Tell me if youre going to start your Bolkow and Ill send you some photos.

Aww, youre too kind, Junior. Its not a perfect kit as forge said. But I have to say this: I mixed the paint using paint chips Webster got from the real thing. I sure hope Webster still has them.

What's the diff between an F-8E and an F-8H? Pwede ba nating gamitin ang bagong Academy 1/72 E? Konting revision lang ba? Thanks!
