My good friend Don in Alaska is the best scracthbuilder I have known -- he scratched a DUKW, a T26E3 Pershing, an LCT, an M12, a SUSV and a few other 1/35th critters when I lived near him and spent many a night drinking coffee and talking models back in the 80s. He did the master for AEF's S-tank and a few others way back when ...

Now he builds 1/4 scale weapons, almost exclusively (though he is still a fanatical kit collector -- has at least two of every 1/35 and 1/48 scale model ever made. I am not kidding). He's a bit Internet-shy and doesn't surf or even e-mail much. I decided to drag his creations into the daylight.

Hi. That's some fantastic model building there, no doubt about that! And living in Alaska to boot. What more could you ask for. The best of both worlds.
