I'd like to see some chopped down trees (logs) to hang on the side of my AFV's.

(hey, my first reply/coment!)

SAS, I have to second the idea of Russian buildings. Especialy the rural area style.

sgtreef, as for the tall grass, have you seen a company called "Scenic Express"? I've got some of their stuff in (Steve Z mentioned this at AMPS) and it is FANTASTIC!

if any members living in Europe could
see their way clear to possibly snap a few shots of buildings and or streets it would be very
much appreciated!

If you tell me what you're looking for in particular, i'll be happy to shoot some pics for you.

hello Eagle;
What we could use are store fronts from wwII that survived and are unchanged even today, road configurations, styles of brick arrangements, walls, steps, allyways, fixtures, roof tiles, wall tiles, ornamentation on buildings and fountains etc. We could also use measurments of the items mentioned, whatever you can reach. Oh yes, window frames too! I don`t know how much of this stuff has survived the war years but if it does exist pictures and measurments would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Okay !
As soon as I can borrow one of my friends digicam I'll start taking photos around my place and also in
Versailles, where I work. The windows and doors in my appartment should be a good exemple of what you're looking for, so I'll make measurments also.
If I'm lucky, maybe I can grab the digicam tonight...
Some of the suburbs of paris were lucky to finish the war untouched and many old buildings are still there. But street configurations have often changed.
There are very few paved roads left in paris because in 1968 the "paves" were thrown at the police (under the paves lies the beach), but here in Versaille I can take a few shots !

The thread is in the dio section, and it's called "photos from normandy".
But anyway, it was only intended to post the link to my gallery :

I just asked my friend and I'll have the digicam tomorrow night ! #:-)

Yes, there was another mention about a destroyed factory earlier in this thread, so talked
about this with my other partners and was told that a bombed factory would be very much possible and likely.
russ :-)
ps; no Penpen, didn`t notice the girl at the fountain, too busy lookin at the fountain LOL !

Hello to All,
So by now all of you wonderful modelers out there who took the time to respond to this thread quite sometime ago and to those who are so generously taking photographs in response to this thread are no doubt all on the edge of your seats waiting to hear more about this new company forming, well I can now tell you that all this has to do with Dioman`s thread in Dioramas and his being part of Synergy Dio Products back in the 80s.
For those of you who do remember the company from the 80s, the original line of products will be available with many new ideas as well, watch for us in the new year!
Any new questions can be directed to either Dioman or myself Sas.
happy modeling guys n gals,
russ
