Thanks buck! I'll surely come, unless a family outing hinders me. When I do get there, can you help me decide if I will join or not? The annual fee is not an issue but those Sunday meetings could end up as family outings.
Thanks! :-) :-) :-)

Thank you Chief Master Sargeant Jeepney for the welcome. Thank you too, for referring to me as Hunter (I do prefer to be called that). I'm not sure if I am violating any "forum regulations" or if I'm stepping on anyone's toes by appropriating that callsign. If I am, I offer my apologies, so please let me know.
I am flattered to be labeled as an experienced & skilled modeler. In actual fact I look up to Buck & many of our members when it comes to building kits. Their building skills in detailing and scratchbuilding are unmatched. You ought to see the models they have built. Members get to see their expertise during regular monthly meetings & internal contests.
I am not a prolific builder & it takes me ages to complete a kit. As of last count I have over a dozen kits in various stages of assembly (mostly aircraft, some cars & trucks). I haven't stopped buying though, so I wonder when I will find time to actually build them all.
I went back into the hobby in 1994 and since then I have completed 4 1/72nd aircraft kits. 3 of those 4 have found their way into "hobby heaven" but some parts are in my spares box. The other kit was ruined in my last move, so I guess I'm still a newbie when it comes to building kits.
I would like to address Fritz's post to Buck. The Club meets every 2nd Sunday of the month, normally in UP Diliman Fine Arts, starting around 2:00pm onwards. On Nov. 30 we have a special meeting for the Bert Anido Cup. While this contest is open to IPMS BAC members only (at this point), we most certainly welcome other modelers to come & have a look see. You may also look for me if you wish (don't be shy).
Lately many of our guests have ended up joining the ranks & I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that all of them are proud to be part of IPMS BAC. I totally understand the constraints on those of us who have families when it comes to Sundays. That is why we have agreed to regularize our meetings to every 2nd Sunday of the month so most of our members can block off that day for their hobby.
If you or any of your friends would like to know more about us, fell free to send me a private message (is that what the "pm" button is for?). I assume the message will go to my email address? Someone correct me if I'm wrong please?
Cheers,
Hunter

Will ask Supreme Chief Jim (the site owner) what can be done about a change in call sign. If the original Hunter is not active anymore, methinks it can be given to you.
Each member of Armorama has his/her own PM (or Private Message) inbox. The messages there can only be accessed via the Armorama website. The envelope icon on the top right of the screen will turn white when you receive a message. There will also be a prompt beside the "Welcome back, ****" on top of the page.
The Filipino Phorum does not have a rigid heirarchy of power hungry glue sniffers (or does it ?) #:-) Anything goes around here. This is the place to lighten up and talk about our favorite topic: CHINITAS!!!!!! Model talk sometimes comes up every now and then though.
PS: Just let me know if you guys need help with the IPMS BAC website. It would be an honor

Thanks for that Jeepney. I would appreciate a callsign change if its not inconvenient. No sweat if its not possible.
I received your PM so I know it works. Thanks also for the explanation.
I do not have a whole lot of time for surfing or logging into websites. I prefer to do most of my communicating via email. If anybody is interested in talking to me I would be pleased to send them my email address via PM and we can take it from there. I will be checking into this forum occasionally.
Jeepney, I will inform our IPMS BAC webmaster of your offer to help with our website. I'll get back to you with his answer. Thank you for your offer.

Thanks for the welcome Crismag. So you're the guy who built that flying Evo VI. I'd like to talk to you some more about how you did that and your other projects.
Jeepney, I spoke with the IPMS BAC webmaster and he welcomes your offer of assistance. I understand he is planning another series of changes to make it easier to access & visually more pleasing.
How do we contact you? Perhaps you can join us on Nov. 30 for the Bert Anido Cup & we can talk about the website?
Thanks

Mr. Hunter, youre here!
"fiawrc"? Whats up with that, man? LOL. Youre too kind, Im not that great a modeler.
Fritz,
Like Hunter said, we recognize sked constraints and that is why we have regular and associate memberships. Of course, family comes first. There arent a lot of modelers these days and to be able to attend such gatherings is a big morale booster. I must admit, before I joined IPMS I was really hesitant; but now having learned a lot I doubt if my skills could have ever improved without the club. Hands-on training, ika nga.
John,
Thanks for welcoming us here. At IPMS-BAC kasi we have a sort of tradition where everyone gets handles. The only problem is, you dont get to choose yours, so some are quite degrading. Hehehe. A member who used "junkers" as email address was tagged "Junk," for example. Hunter used to be Ex-O, so we named him after the character portrayed by Denzel Washington in Crimson Tide. I got "Buck" since in Band of Brothers, that character became a lawyer.

Hey Buck,
Someone beat me to the call sign Hunter so I had to use another identity. Okay lang, still the same old person behind the codename.
If there's one thing you learn from this hobby its Modesty. I can understand what good modelers can do with 1/48 & larger scales but to see your accomplishments in 1/72 scale is downright discouraging (especially to a non-builder like me)! hehehe...
You should probably talk to Bull & ask him to start posting.

A short note for Shonen, there are three (3) stocks of Tamiya 1/48 Navy Harrier in Lil's Megamall for around P 700-P900. Just some thoughts. I think it was you that wanted Harriers. Forgot the model no. though..........

Jeep,
Thanks for the images, pare. They look great! Ive already posted mine at the Profiles. Many thanks! FPJ in 04? You might be laughing now, but remember, we laughed at the idea of Erap in 98. Uuughh!
Hunter,
Yep, Bull should see this. Some of the folks here might actually know him. We'll just wait till he comes around.

Hello Jeepney,
As of last count it was 172. I had to sell off some as the wifey was complaining about the space I was using up for storage. B-(

No problem buck! Just email me any images you want processed. I'll try changing the color balance next time so the plane will look gray not blue.
172???!!!! You have any weird pre-WW2 tanks lurking in your pile?

Fiawrc: 172? Hmmm... over here and here you'll find a nice weeeeeeeeeee little campaign called "Twilight 2000." Check it out and maybe you can whittle down that stash to a fewer kits.
I'm participating in it and have successfully used up around, oh, seven to eight unbuilt/semi-built-but-left-behind-for-all-eternity kits for five builds-that-are-manifestations-of-my-insanity hehehe

Sorry Jeepney, mostly aircraft, cars & trucks ang collection ko. I'm not an armor modeler. So what am I doing here??? hehehe
GIBeregovoy: Looked into the Twilight 2000 site but I can't understand it. Perhaps you have to explain to this computer novice what its all about sometime?

You guys might want to submit pics of your PAF models to http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com for next year's Independence Day. I think Desi put his 1/32 Phantom up for display there some time ago

Yes Jeepney, thanks for letting us know. I'm sure some of the guys will post their work in Aircraft Resource Center - that's if they finish their entries in time. B-D
