TIA

Bump!

I noticed that they make a 75MM Pack Howitzer that I think would be just loverly for the RMG Campaign!
Any thoughts or info on this company would be much appreciated!.

Ken,

I'm currently building their 75mm Pack Howi.... I'll show you some pics below.

In general, I'm not too fond of this model.... it's good looking, accurate in detail, but awful casting.... it took me evenings and evenings in a row to sand the darn thing, and I had to scratchbuild quite a lot, since the original parts where in such a bad shape..... nope, I wouldn't buy this one again.... sorry that I can't recommend it. It will make a very nice model, but.....be prepared to spend a lot of time on this little baby.

Wow, what a darn shame. I just can't get into scratching a kit from a kit. . Back to the drawing board.
Yours looks good so far!

Danny, did you get my PM?

Ken,

there is another manufacturer that does make a good 75mm Howitzer in Resin........ I don't know the name though.... I saw it at JW de Boer's during a show in Belgium..... then I asked him for the brand, he gave it to me...I shared it with one of the English boys over here and....I forgot about it...... That model was Euro 19,-- ($19,--) and was real good....

I'll dive into this again and let you know what I came up with.

What a bummer! I just found out that AEF Designs makes one too. Their's is not too good either. On top of that, I refuse to deal with AEF D. again. They take way tooooooo long.
Interestingly enough, both Roy Models and AEF Designs are both copies of Tamiya's very old white metal model.

ahhhh yes, the good old days.... I have an old, very old Tamiya catalogue around the house.....each time I visit the white metal howitzer thingy, tears get in my eyes....if I could only lay my hands on such a beauty......

Like I sayd.... Roy Models can be done without the scratchbuilding, but you have to prepare for a lot of sanding, filing and polishing.... when you spend the time on it, you'll have a pretty good looking model and....it's accurate !
