What I do is to put the image in my album. Then I open it and right click. At bottom of the window I click properties. In the new window that opens where it says Address I move the cursor over the address with the left mouse button held down so that the WHOLE http........ line is highlighted. Then right click and copy. Then when I write my post where I want the image to be I right click and paste so that the URL appears. At the end of it I type [/img] and in front of it I type [img]. Don't have any spaces in and it should work.

You can also click the button to the upper right that has a camera on it and says "Image Help". That has a pretty good explanation of how to do it.

Cheers,

I just did one of my pics in a forum post, like this:

I uploaded it to my gallery.
Then I right clicked on the photo itself once it was in the gallery, and selected "Properties" from the pop up menu.

The pop up window ---> Properties ---> Property Sheet has a field labeled "Address /URL"
That has the Internet Address of the photo itself, in your gallery.

Click that field to get it highlighted, and right click yet again, and select "copy."
Close the Property sheet for your photo.

I then used the [img] button provided by our forum post interface and pasted the URL of my photos address over the sample one provided by the [img] button.

Treadhead,
And everyone else.
1. Put your pictures on a site that allows linking.
2.OPEN the picture fully,NOT just a thumbnail.
3.Then do the right click to get properties. The adress will be of the full size picture.
4.Left click and drag through the http stuff to the end,and save by right click and "copy".
5.in this reply area (img) http etc, ctec (/img) instead of ('s use ['s square brackets.

my adress between the bracket IMG and bracket / IMG was http://photos.kitmaker.net/data/500/623clean.jpg?1301
the IMPORTANT thing is NO space between the bracket and the beginning http,or between 1301and the [ following. Otherwise you only get the adress.

Tread,
You are trying to display the URL of a whole PAGE. Not an image on the page. You have to get the URL of the image and that is what Carl was explaining. If you right click an image, click properties, and use the ADRESS URL info then your image will display.

;)

I'm going to guess that on an image post the URL will need to end in
.jpg
or
.gif

Be sure to right click on the photo for its address and not the address of the web page you accessed to see the pic. You need the pics address.
Web page addresses will end with *.htm or *.php or something like that.
HTH
Keep trying
