Hmmmmmm Christmas - kits I'm not too sure, but I want to get a new airbrush (to replace my old Testors spray gun) that will go nicely with the compressor I got for my birthday.

Might really be stretching a friendship (marriage) if I want kits too. Then again after 22 years of wedded bliss SWMBO is slowly getting used to the idea that I make models.

Maybe if I clear the desk of the AM Stormovik, Tamiya Feldkuche and Marder II and the 2 dioramas I'm working on then I will need some more kits.

Kits have been 'banned' from my list. People look at my pile of unbuilt kits and laugh (gotta admit it's not as 'nice' as some others I've seen ) so my list is religated to tools
Hey Mr. Clause how about a new airbrush, how about some RTV silicone, ....

Lucky me, I've got the OK for the Trumpetter Leopold (didn't even have to nag hard #:-) ).

I'm even allowed to put in on a bookself in the living room if I finish it properly.

Now let's wait and see what's the catch for all this kindness??? There has to be one...

This year the wife gets a reprieve; she has already bought me a ton of stuff incl compressor, paint, odds and sods etc…

With everyone else I know I have been as subtle as a wrecking ball. Gave them a list and was even kind enough to mention that they can club together.

Trumpeter:

K5 Leopold
FAUN Elefant SLT-56 Pz Transporter
DF-21 Ballistic Missile Launcher

Dragon’s 60cm SP Moerser Karl

Gee how predictable, wonder how many other Xmas wish lists will contain the same items?

There is a ‘get out of this ridiculous price tag’ free card:

Tamiya’s M2A2 ODS Desert Bradley, or
Academy’s Tiger I Mid Model w/Interior, or
Dragon’s re-released M51 "Isherman", or
Double / Dual action Airbrush

Or any Tank Destroyer, AAA vehicle or Engineering vehicle! :-)

PS: This is the short list!

The year Tamiya's Dragon Wagon came out, my wife conspired with the local hobbyshop owner to get me one. He even gave her my IPMS club discount! That was pretty nice.

I haven't really been dropping many kit hints this year. I'll probably get the usual -- a gift certificate or good old cash.

It just came to me, we've got to "register" at local hobby stores. You know, like baby shower gifts and weddings do? Go down to your LHS, put together a list of goodies you want, then just tell everybody "I'm registered at XYZ Hobbies."

Scott, the model ban is too funny. The wife and I were at the LHS and I was eyeing the Leopold. She put her hands on her hips and said "You need to build the models you already have before you buy anymore." That has to be close to 100 vehicles, not counting the 100 figure sets. So, I guess I ain't gettin' the Leopold for Christmas. Maybe a new Aztec AB?

To which you should have replied, "And you need to wear out the shoes you have now before you buy any new ones!" #:-)

I have been hinting about getting the leopold for christmas, since it was released. But then my wife bought it for me for fathers day! Now Im hinting for a dremmel. Also the flexible attachment that can be bought extra. Maybe even the stand for it. ??
Any dremmel hints from you guys!!

I have a lot of kits I want to build at the moment! This might making them more fun!

Ahhhh.... I don't have to drop hints... When the little woman catches me drooling on the pages of my FSM magazines, she knows that as long as it's plastic (OD green type), she doesn't have to ask... ( I knew I got the right woman for me when she got me a Black and Decker moto tool with flexible shaft and 100 pc. accessory kit last Xmas)

AJ La Fleche (sp? sorry)
Happy Birthday and start hinting -

Wifes can have the ridiculous amount of shoes, if we can keep (and grow) our many kits
I hide mine in the basement where she cant see them without effort and have them mail ordered to work,

If I had more time !
The registry is a good idea, and I'm sure the LHS's will go for it, since its money in the bank.

Fine Molds is releasing a TIE Interceptor and Slave 1 for the folks that like some Sci-Fi with their AFVs and aircraft.
Merry Christmas to all of you, and exercise the subtlety of a stomach pump.
