I'll tell you, Tony always has these cool ideas that just seem to make one scratch his or her head and ask "why didn't I think of that". Great idea Tony, can't wait to see future installments.

Thanks Jim for putting this up!
Just one small thing: It says "Envar Escapades" in the menu at left corner...
I have a fistful of Envarīs Excerpts thought out and more will be added soon. Those of you familiar with my work, are there any particular things you would like to see in Envarīs Excerpts?
The future topics will cover scratchbuilt tent, curtains, some painting techniques and shell casings.
Hope youīll find them useful!

Thanks,
Toni

Toni,
marvelous !!!!! I love the way you express your ideas with graphics !!! Excellent addition to the site.
One question.... how thick should or can the wire be for the best optical results ?

Thanks Danny!
Well, I didnīt include the scale or any absolute dimensions in the article as this depends on the model and the type of glasses. These are the Dustin Hoffman-in-Papillon-type of glasses with adjustable, very thin frames. Diameter of the wire I used for this 1:16 figure is about 0,2mm. I pulled a single copper string out of an electric wire. Hard to say really. My methods are usually based on "looks good-it must be right" -doctrine...

Same here...that's why I added the word "optical" to results.... it's the visual results that count.

I have to tell ya' Envar has 'got it'
Toni - you have an amazing touch and sence of presentation. Not only is the content wonderful stuff - the flair with which you present it is Great!
When you look at what Toni does there isn't an aspect of the work left untouched.

If you guys keep sharing all of your secrets, we are going to be like an audience that figures out the magician's tricks. Great idea and beautifully put together. Thanks Toni.
