If the server hicups then that might explain that happening. The server has been very stable for the most part.

Make sure your browser security setting is set to "default". I hate to say this but with web technology getting more and more advanced the people who have ANYTHING turned off visa-vi their browser are NOT going to be happy campers.

I should know I got up this morning thinking I had screwed up something on the site and then realized the PC I was using had active scripting turned off.

Let me know if you continue to have a problem.

Cheers,
Jim

That means you are on Default setting already.

Okay....try this. Are you entering pretty much the same desriptive info each time? Web code sometimes gets upset ( ) when certain special characters are put info text. For example even in this forum there is a specific series of characters that will cause every bit of text to disappear after it's used. I learned this the hard way when I used those characters for an emoticon

So try the upload without ANY description or other additional info and see what happens.

Thanks,
Jim

Can you let me know your system specs?

Operating System and version?

Browser and version? (click Help on main menu bar and About...)

Internet Connection type (Dial-up, ASDL, DSL, AOL Dial-up)?

Thanks,
Jim

So you are using the built-in browser in AOL? Not running IE or Netscape on their own?

Thanks,
Jim

Easy_Co, try this method:

Start AOL as normal. Make sure you are connected to the internet, minimize AOL and start IE - it's either on your desktop or Start - All Programs. (Since you have WinXP, you should already have Internet Explorer (IE) installed on your PC.)
Go to Armorama, log in, and try to upload from there.

Let us know if this works.

Well I am glad it worked. Once upon a time AOL was my ISP as well and I ALWAYS browsed the web using IE instead of the built-in browser. It was slower and not as functional.

Cheers,
Jim

Hmm...I wonder if this is the root cause of some other UK user issues we have had. (you guys seem to use AOL a lot).

Will send a few emails to check.

Easy, happy to hear it worked for you!

To any users of AOL: If this is how you connect to the internet - fine. Do yourselves a really big favor. Just use it to connect. Once connected, minimize the AOL window and start up IE or Netscape if you want to browse or come to sites like this. AOL is really a terrible browser. Not only is it a huge system resource hog, it just cannot manage cookies - period!
It's okay for getting your email, but that's about it. Really.
