At some point I guess the scrathbuilders forum guys will be buying these and sticking blocks of plastic and other materials into their Versa-laser and popping out Hueys and P51s.

When I lived in Anchorage, Alaska, in the late 80s, we had a guy in the IPMS club who built paper models. He also worked at a custom trophy shop that had a laser etch machine -- for which he was the operator. He could do incredible stuff with the thing, but never offered to etch brass for any of us .... Anyway, he made these incredible railings and rigging for tiny paper ship models -- you would not believe this stuff was laser-cut paper! Awesome details -- I think this is a more "home" version of the type of laser cutter he worked with. I wish I could remember his name, but I think he moved to New Mexico.

Too bad he never offered to cut for you folks, but I guess if he got started, he'd have never had any peace...
