Is that the movie with the kids searching for the pirate treasure? if so I loved it when I was a kid, I like it now about as much as being poked in the eye.

I find it pretty hard not to like anything Spielberg has had a creative influence on.

I still think it has it's moments, but like the movie "Explorers" it starts to loose it's charm at some point. Does anyone remember Explorers? When River Pheonix was a nerdy overweight kid?

My biggest problem with Goonies was the ending. Uh....GO GET THAT SHIP! Duh....

Don't get me wrong, I like Stevie Speilberg, but I mean the goonies was one of the dorkiest movies of all time. He probably thinks so now to!

Chip, the Goonies was one of the defining movies of the 80's! Along with Indiana Jones and ET, these movies shaped my childhood!

Sure it was a kids movie, but it was made by one of the best directors ever! It's a movie that you just sit back and don't have to think - which is a good thing for me

When was the last time you saw it?

A couple weeks ago, why? Are you implying that maybe over time I have learned to not like it? Nope, didn't like it then, dont now!

we had this kid in my scout troop that looked and acted like chunk. You should have seen him do the rolly belly dance. Despite all your protesting, you have to admit the movie did have its moments. Who can ever forget the scene when chunk is admitting to all his "crimes" and tellsabout the throwing up over the balconey

I loved the Goonies as well. Som many movies from my younger days are still dear to me. Don't forget Sixteen Candles. How can you not love Long Duck Dong? But my all time favorite is A Christmas Story. "Son of a _______, I've shot my eye out".
