I picked up the March issue of FSM tonight and it has some cool stuff. 13 pages in airbrushing to include tips, troubleshooting and other stuff. Remember the sherman from last issue? It's continued in this issue with a step-by-step tutorial on how to make sandbags. There's also a four page kit round-up on Shermans and an article on making custom decals and dry transfers.

Thanks Tin-Can, have to go out and get it now. Love that magazine. Do me a favor would you? Check with the Navy lodge there and see if they are booked up for the time frame of the nationals. As a retiree, I still have a couple of bennys. I'd appreciate that. Chris (Tiger 1) Carney.

I've been anticipating that issue for three weeks now. Was it on the news stand? I have a subscription and have'nt received it yet.

If I was going to have one subscription to a magazine (I do air and armor) is this the best one to go with? I ordered something on line and got an add giving me the magazine at 1/2 off the cover price for a year. I have filled it out but haven't sent it in yet because I wanted to see if it was a good mag. I picked one up and the local hobby store and it looked good to me. So should I go with FSM or something else? My skill level at this point is beginer if that makes a difference.

Strange...haven't received my subscription yet either. Usually have it before any local stores or even my Navy Exchange (which seems to get magazines even before my local stores).

Dying for this issue. I was totally absorbed by that guy's Sherman and his detailed step-by-step building of it.

Oh, and when did Military Modeller magazine go under? I used to subscribe to it in the early eighties, when it was the "cool" magazine to subscribe to and FSM was just the "other" magazine. Now of course, I have FSM... but do not recall when MM went away.

I´m truly expecting for my issue on the mail box, I too curious to see all that sandbags under construction...
FSM iseally cool, but for a subscriber the all year airbrushing lessons are getting boring don´t you agree?
Cheers

I was at Barnes & Noble's last night...still had Febs. I too usually get it before newsstands. Grump! As far as the AB articles, maybe a little too much, but I fugure I can never know all aspects, so learning more is always a bonus.
BTW what does IMHO mean???

Ken,
That is pretty sad. My experience with subscriptions has always been the exact opposite. I would write a letter to the editor at FSM!

This is the third time with them in the past year! And Jim I did write to them, an email. and do you know what they told me? "Your subscription is good through Febuary 2003"! AAAAHHHHHHH, no kidding people, now can I get the answer I was looking for?? Getting typical with them now.
And no, I did not enquire about my subscription. I asked where my March copy is. Oh well, I'll just hurry up and wait.

Okay, was "down country" to the big city of Portland Maine yesterday, Saturday. Spent the day spending my IRS refund check..or at least 1/3 of it. Bought a Sony Tivo. Fairly fun stuff.

1. No March FSM in my mailbox yet
2. Not one major or mom&pop bookstore had it
3. I find this very strange

Went to Borders, Barnes and Noble, Waldenbooks, Mr. Paperback, and several smaller "mom&pop" stores. They all Febuary displayed.

So no March FSM way up here in the frozen north either yet.

I sent my subscription about 3 weeks ago. Guess I'll pick up the March issue from a news stand just in case. That way, I'm sure to get it in the mail the next day.

Ken, I got mine here in Virginia Beach at Barnes and Noble. Maybe you need to goto your Barnes and Noble and stand on the counter and start yelling at somebody...that might produce some results or make for a good laugh...lol! :-)

In the mean time you can drool here.

Man, you guys are cruel!!!
Hey Tin, that link is dead...very cruel...almost got excited thinking I could at least see a pic or two.
And zip...you up there in Canada? If so, way too chilly for me. To used to the tropical climate with temps in the 80s and palm trees and bikinis!Tomorrow is another day and with a little luck and and a nice postman I'll receive it, and read it by the pool or maybe the beach. hahaha
BTW : Way To Go Patiots!...almost too appropriate, considering the past year. Red, White & Blue! :-)

Possibly taken from some famous quote.
