Does anyone know if the canoe vignette was done by Chretien Petit? I know he specializes in aboraginal Americans (a major faux pas in Europe). I saw some of his work at Long Island last November was was bowled over by it.

It's indeed by Christian Petit, a master modeller from France. There weren't really categories for the figures at Brugge: just beginners, advanced and master level. This dio won silver at master level. You can imagine what quality the work was that won gold!
