My hands can't do what my mind envisions. My knees protest at much crawling around. I frequently launch small parts from tweezers guaranteed to hold anything. So, I do the following:
1. First, I am fortunate enough to have been able to build a "playroom" for my hobby and selected linoleum with a black and white tile look for the floor specifically for this problem.
2. When I lose a part, I turn off the lights and shine a flashlight horizontally to the floor and often get lucky.
3. I sweep every day and look through the cobwebs and bits of bass wood, styrene, etc. for real parts.
4. When I am cutting a small part off a plastic or metal sprue, I do it in a small clear plastic box, so if it flys, it only has a one in 6 chance of flying out.
5. Oh yeah, sometimes none of the above works. Anyone have an extra 1/35th walkie-talkie handset?

LOL! That's the best laugh I've had in a while. Thanks!
