Well, the internet has been a ton of fun for me personally. It has helped me tremendously with researching of the hobby, and I have met quite a few great folks thru it. LIKE YOU! The knowledge and the friendships gained via the internet has been outstanding to say the least.

Yes, it detracts from my actual building time, but the research time has been cut by about 99.9%. It also helps to pass the 'drying time'.

Being the old poop that I am, I have adapted quite well (IMHO), and when on vacations etc, I am kind of lost without it. About five years ago, having a computer at home, after sitting at one all day long, was out of the question, but I am living proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Thanks,
Kevin Keefe

The Internet has been instrumental in my re-joining the hobby. I find myself using it almost exclusively to buy kits, paints, tools, etc. From a research perspective, it's astounding. There are so many useful sites up now, you can hardly visit them all. But, most important of all is the existance to sites like Armorama, which provide support (moral and practical) and keep the enthusiasm flowing. It's like having a Master Modeller living next door. While some say it cuts into modelling time, I find after reading about and looking at projects done by members here, I hit my modelling table with much more determination and focus. I know my skill level has been elevated since joining here. :-)

This website has been an excellent source of information for all my modelling needs!! Looking through the gallery and finding tons of reference pictures and not to mention the all helpful tips and tricks that you guys have generously shared on this website......Well what more can i say about the corelation between the internet and modelling?! The only drawback for me is that some materials/kits that some of you suggested cannot be found in my country and morever different modellers have different styles and techniques. I think that developing your own unique sense of technique to put life into your models is the most important!! Cheers!

I used to model HO RR, quit doing it when I got divorced and lost the "extra" space I had. After 4 years, I got interested in modelling German armor because of a game I play on the 'net (WWII OnLine). Although alot of my time is taken up with work and another good bit playing my game, I have managed to find time to come here and in those few moments I'm not online I build some. I have recently started a kit that I am throughly enjoying building, and with your helpful hints and tips I think that it is turning out great. When I compare what I have done on this one kit compared to some of the buildings that I built for my RR, the difference is amazing. I can't wait to get to the painting stage ! I know 5 times more about airbrushing than I did back then and am looking forward to painting this thing I just hope that I can actually paint it as well as I "think" I can. I found this website by the luck of the google search and when I did I knew I found a place to call home.

Thanks to all those members that have given me tips and to the designers of this site !!!
