I purchased Academy 1/35 scale M1151 Enhanced Armament Carrier yesterday. I decided to start building it today only to find that I am missing the pouch with clear plastic parts (windows, headlights, etc.) and the poly inserts used to mount wheels. I can probably get around the poly inserts but the clear plastic parts are a big problem.

It figures that this is my first model in something like 4 years and from the get go is giving my trouble.

The Academy website does not list an email address and I am not in a position to call Korea. They do list Model Rectifier Corporation as the only US distributor of Academy models so am thinking of sending them an email, although they list the M1151 as out of stock so I am not sure how they would be able to help me.

Any suggestions on what else I can do?

MRC is good at replacing parts. You can send them an email, call them, or go onto their site and fill out a parts request. I have always had good service from them.

They are pretty good at replacement parts. I even ordered spare parts from them years ago for conversions though I'm not sure if that is possible anymore.

I agree with HeavyArty. I order some replacement parts for an Academy Tiger I from MRC. Excellent service and speedy delivery.

Your first port of call should be the shop that sold it - they ought to have some responsibility to replace faulty goods. If the shop won't help, then try MRC.

Wherever possible, I try to open the box & inspect the contents before leaving the shop, just in case...

Thanks everyone. I sent and email to MRC. We'll see what they say.

I heard back from MRC and was told that they would help me get the missing parts.
