I thought my scratchbuilding my M35 with fuel cell on 1/16 th scale was quite an achievement. Until I discovered
Talal Chouman's website !

800 hours of work resulted in this :

After assembly and some (!) paint work, it now looks like this :

The LAV isn't his first challenge : he also made this 1/16 Bradley, and many other things. Check out his website !!! (Boy, do I feel an amateur now ... ! )

I couldn't resist to add this picture as well. This guy really has a sense of humour : the soldiers inside the LAV seem to be keen modelers. Look at the models, the sigarettes, the bottles of water ( !!! ) and the incredible fridgebox with ice and beverage cans. They look so real I'd pick up that Budweiser and drink it !

If you look closely at the IPMS Journal in the interior shot, you'll note that it's the 2001 Nationals results issue that featured a scratchbuilt Bradley built by none other than the builder of this model.

AJ, I'm getting suspicious here. You seem to know so much about him ? This artist wouldn't happen to be a member of Armorama, secretly operating under callsign AJLaFleche ?

ROTFLMAO! Don't I wish I had his skills! No, as I said elsewhere, I've known Talal for quite a while. We've talked many times at contests we've attended. He a great guy and always willing to give advice. Maybe I have learned a thing or two from him. LOL I first saw his models at the old Worcester, Mass. contests in the late 80's.

This isn't modelbuilding...this is art. This guy's work is simply amazing.
