War Stories: Paratroopers
They appear from out of the sky, stunning the enemy with surprise and stealth. In daylight or in the thick of night, they land behind enemy lines— right on top of hostile forces—and fight to secure vital territory. With names like “The Screaming Eagles” and “Devils in Baggy Pants,” the paratroopers are America’s elite warriors. These troops are often in the frontline of America’s riskiest military campaigns. Imagine how they jump out of perfectly good airplanes, put their trust in a flimsy piece of fabric — the chute — and confront the enemy on their land. They are ready to fight only with what they have on their backs.

In this riveting episode of War Stories with Oliver North you'll witness the illustrious history of America's Airborne Paratroopers. Since World War II, paratroopers have been given the most dangerous missions in American military campaigns. You’ll see one of the largest airborne invasion in history—Operation Market Garden. The mission had 35,000 American, British, and Polish paratroopers dropped into Holland to try to halt the Nazi war machine.

Plus, you'll also see how these warriors from the sky with have been an integral part of all U.S. military actions from World War II to the War on Terror.

Just curious if any has watched any of these yet?
