Hi All
Another question. I am now building my P47D Thunderbolt , and I am trying to polish out the mold line on the clear gun sight. I have a "Flex-i-file" polisher / finisher sanding stick, but have forgotten how to use it. It has three different grits but I'm not sure which order to use them. I have been experimenting , but so far it hasn't gotten very clear.
Can anyone help me?

Sorry if this is a bit generic but...

Start with the coarsest grit and work progressively through to the smoothest.

For the final pass, I use a nail buffer - to get a really smooth finish.

I'll be a bit more specific than Merlin.

On the side with 2 grits, start with the gray, then the white. Then flip it over to the all gray side and use that to buff it out and shine it up. Dip that sucker in Future when you are done and your done.

That's exactly what I was looking for !
and it means that Merlin is also right.
But it must be the Future that does the trick, cause I can't do it with just the file. It comes out lightly foggy.
There must be something else I'm missing.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific... I never use "name band" sanding sticks
- the drug-store versions are just as good and a lot cheaper...

That said... I do recommend Micro Mesh polishing cloths... they're not cheap - but the results are amazing... :-)
