this has 2 action, up and down ,which is done . and it will also exten out

i used a 210 actuator works perfect

i was searching the web for these trucks and came arcoss this one

was to work on the rear fender today. ive added the hand rail, tool box and step pad. the 1st battery i bought for this i mess it up by keeping it plugged in. 90.00 down the drain. i hate lipo batteries but i need the power. right now its charging up.

i have cut the extension, work on the basics of the snozzle, installed the lifting servo and ran some plumbing. this is all a mock up and alot of fine tuning to do .

i started on the rear plumbing

ive started on the other side for the plumbing . also made top cover for the lifting arm. this will let me bable to run wires and have excess to them

the base and lower parts of the boom is done, so i started to add paint, wiring and hoses

the blue bubble lights came in today. i prefitted them, now for the wiring. the lower lift arm has 2x light fitted too. the arm i made and paint a cover it. the wiring is also ran

the lower arm is pretty much done.

i painted the top arm/boom , plumbing and made removable cap for the knuckle.

did some odds and ends. back on the shelf untill i recieve in some more parts

hey evrybody, really sorry about leave of absense here.

i had huge mishap with the firetruck, i was installing the electronic for the boom and the electronic compartment started to have a serious melt down. bottom line was i loss i all of it . very expensive booboo. it wiped out most of the lights too. sooooo i had to tare it down and basically start over . so while i have it apart i will do some upgrades, ive paint chassis, change the tires and rims, upgraded the servos ,added anothe axle etc. ive also went from a 6x6x4 to and 8x8x6.

what was taking so long that i really had to get over the melt down. im sure we have all been there one time or another. so enough of this and let get started

i started on the basic compartment , will add 2x doors ,

next i started on the lid,marked it out,drilled all the holes for rivots and post,also put it in primer

the basic box is all done , ready for paint next

Not so good to hear of your disaster !!!!!!!!!!!!!! How much were you able to save and reuse % wise of the bodywork ????????

I presume with these being of modular format that some of the bits were useable !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Joe, sorry to hear of your disaster with the electrics, but is a good opportunity to see the chassis and drive train all exposed. wonderful work!
The boom with the plumbing mounted is very nice too, the curved diamond plate on the knuckle is a very nice detail.
