After about three years worth of going to Hobby Lobby during the famous 1/3 off sales and always seeing the same armor kits I went to the Lob Monday and they actually have some new kits. I don't remember specifically what all of the kits were but I do know that they have the Tamiya steel wheel Panther and the Tiger 2 Ardennes version. Anyway, if you are like me and wondered when Hobby Lobby was going to rotate their stock and get some new armor kits, I think they have done so.

They also got the Marder III....
And of course, the sale at Hobby Lobby is no where to be seen... #:-)

Also the 105 Breakthrough Sherman, the Quad Gun Tractor and 25 pounder, and a Pak 75mm. I figure the next sale won't be untill all these goodies are gone. Monday I went in to "hide" some choice kits only to find that most of them already were at the back of the shelves. Either they're rotating their stock, or I wasn't the first with the idea.

Howdy keenan,

Thx for the 'heads-up' on the new Tam items. I was already aware of the new additions (my bad for not thinking to make everyone else aware as you did! Good on ya mate!). I noticed them when I last went. You're also correct (I believe) that the are doing something to their stock. I was also fortunate to notice a clearance shelf where they had two Tamiya M1A1 Abrams kits (regularly $33.99) thatI picked up for $17.00 even. I also picked up a Sd.kfz.250/3 'Greif' for $10.00 even, and a Kettenkrad + figures for $4.50.
I have also been waiting for quite few years hoping they would enlarge their offerings, or add some more manufacturer's. I've even held out hope in recent month's that they might make the mistake of adding the Dragon Wagon to their shelves!!! (yeah, I know, fat chance huh?)

Yes, but there is nothing like actually being able to take it home with you.

I have been pretty hard on Hobby Lobby in previous posts about their lack of stock (while praising them as a source of diorama supplies). After reading this post yesterday I stopped at the closest Hobby Lobby to me on the way home from the office, which is also about the worst in Houston in terms of armor models, to see if they had really stocked new kits. Surprise! There were several King Tiger Ardennes kits, several Marder III kits, and the Sherman 105. Plus, they were actually redoing the shelves and displays along the aisle. Truly some progress (maybe someone at Hobby Lobby reads this website?). Now if they would just have one of their sales next week.
