Hola guys,
The Internet is such a big place, how can I make my searches more accurate to the info that Im wanting to get? Like on US WWII gear, what would I search for? I tried several different things and came up with nada. Also, what search engines do you most frequently use and what have you found works best?
I think this is a topic that all might get something out of

I normally use Google. Web Ferret and Copernic are also good. The best thing is the wording of your search query. If it's not working for you, try a different wording for your search.

Google has worked best for me so far.
Well, at least I found Armorama through it!

I use Google, MSN, Alta Vista, and Lycos. Google has gotten better results for me, too.

Google...!!! It's fastest because it doesn't have annoying banner ads and you find everything on it. If you cannot find something particular.. try letting google search for pages similar to ie. "armorama".. you can specify all that in the advanced options.

You will also find many things just by surfing along linked pages (ie link section here on armorama for starters).

Once you found something interesting - allways bookmark!!! You can sort your bookmarks in folders by topics jadda jadda.... and then later check back for news...

errr... ummm... I bet you know all this... why am I telling all tis...

One more vote for Google! I use it more than any other search site.

I have become a google fan also. I would eco the idea of following links from sites you find. I have spent a lot of time following links from this site and have found some great sites because of it (none as good as the original though

Another Google here.
Like M1 had stated, it's all in the words you type. Try to change the wording a bit if you don't get the results you were after.
Like looking for U.S. gear try several variations. Such as "soldiers clothing", "military equipment", "us army field gear", it's all in the words you choose. Again, if you want specific results try "us army gear of ww2". Words like "of" "and", and "the" will be omitted on the first search, but can be added to the search afterwards.
