After almost three months of uninterrupted sunshine, it started to rain today. All my joints hurt and my back feels as if I spent the night in a concrete mixer. My gut feels as if I had at least three pigs too many for lunch and I think the turn of weather got me...
...depressed.
There, I said it.
Even the sight of one of the neighbourhood girls spending time in the bathroom (I look right in there from my attic window and after four years she still hasn't installed any curtains) didn't cheer me up. In fact, I even stopped watching the extended bathing scene and switched on the PC to talk to you piglets.
What must I do ? After trying to stay away from pork for more than a year I don't feel a real wolf anymore. The occasional lamb is an alternative, but I hate the woolly bits - and there are so many woolly bits in a lamb. Then my diet crashed when I had this gorgeos little piglet girl early this month. I had a few dozen after that, but somehow pork doesn't taste as nice as it used to be.
I tried to put Fluvian on my menu, but I don't sleep well after too much of that for diner.
What can a wolf do ? Deer are scarse to find at this neck of the woods. Little Red Ridinghood and her grandma may sound nice in fairytales, but they really don't taste all that great. Pretty boring, no zest. I need somthing with a Zip-a-dee-doo-da flavor, something chewy and palatable. Something that can be roasted, cooked, BBQ'd, baked, stir-fried, ...
How depressing. I hope I don't start drinking again. That generally leads to a trail of massacred pigs all the way from the pub to my home, and I'm too depressed to eat them anyway.
I look forward to your suggestions. In the meantime I strongly consider to restart model building now the summer's gone.
Tata,
W.

We feel your pain Oh Noble Wolf. You might want to share the pain with us by sending some pics of those horrible sights outside your attic window (++)

Hello Jan !
I must agree with the others : for us to feel how depressed you are you should send us pics taken from your attic window !
Seriously, go back to modeling ! Pick up an easy italeri kit, like the opel blitz for exemple, and have some fun !

It was a pitty to waste another piglet for two pounds of ground pork, but it tasted real nice. I'm not too keen on anise, though. As soon as the mail services appoint a new piglet for our neighborhood mail round, I might use it to try the same recipe with mint leaves instead. Only my wife complains when I use the mailpigs or other members of our community for cooking experiments. We rarely have friends for diner...
Thanks for all the words of sympathy, guys.

Pooooooooooooooor little Wolfy Pooh!!! 3 months of sunshine..a high protein diet and nude neighbor girls..........I should have it so bad!!!! Wah Wah Wah. Pull yourself together man! you're supposed to be a role model for the entire canine world. What are the foxes and dogs and coyotes and hyenas and OTHER WOLVES going to think!? You my hairy friend need a shrink! I know this nice Pi....I mean man... who has this neat therapy he uses on wolves..it involves a 12 ga. shotgun...some semtex and a guillotine..it's painless and relieves your problems instantly. Try him..I'll give you the address...this is not a trick...I PROMISE! Toodles ya big bad hairy thing! BodeenGeneralFailure

Good Grief, Bodeen ! If I wasn't so sure you meant well with me, I'd almost think you try to trick me here...
No need to be jealous about our weather, though. Though we had the warmest and dryest summer in recorded weather history, this is one of the wettest and greyest places on the face of the planet. It's never too warm, never really cold. We often have at least two or three seasons in one day. Grey skies and sleet are our national emblem. I'm sure Belgium would be the nicest country in the world if the weather would be like that each summer. Sadly... it's not. But it was nice while it lasted. If it makes you feel better : it's raining again now.
And you're right. I should be a role model for all those other wolves out there. I spent far too much time with you pigs. My pork-free diet didn't just make me lose weight : I'm losing my backbone too !
No more of this nonsense. I need to go out again, take a few other wolves with me and paint the town red. In fact, I'll stop this pig-on-line thing right now and have a few porkchops, a nice piece of lamb rack and maybe a little red ridinghood for desert.
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWLLLLLL!

Sharing the pics ?
Well, fellas, here's the story.
1) there are no pics. Posessing any pics would show proof of my interest, which might not only lead my wife in advising her to put a curtain on her bathroom wall, but even to cement my own window view.
2) why would I need pics : the view is there several times a week, and it's always new and different...
3) I certainly could not publish pics of such nature on a family website like this. Not with all those young piglets around...
Eagle, old friend... my claws are sharpened and my fangs are exercised. Teeth polished. I put on my tuxedo and a red carnation. When do we hit the town ?

(++) Little do the wolfies and Fluvians know that by the light of the full moon some of us turn into......... WEREPIGS!!!!!!!!!!!! oinkugh oinkugh.... Yes hideous monstrosities (my wife says i don't need a full moon to be one of those) that prowl the night and prey on the unsuspecting sleeping wolves and fluvians. Of couse if we run into a werewolf or werefluvian then we are completely screwed. Well, in any case, watch out you evildoers and swine-eaters. That noise you hear late at night in the corner of the bedroom might not be the customary roach or mouse that inhabits your house! It might be....a......WEREPIG!!!!!!!!! Ahhhh...run for your lives every swine for himself!!!! Oh..wait a minute...ha ha..er....I...I... even scared myself with that one! .Pigs of the world UNTIE...I mean UNITE... and for you dyslexics...ETINU dlrow eht fo sgiP. MUHUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHughmfgh...I gotta get rid of that gum! BYE BYE soon to be ex-Wolfies and Fluviaks!chip250

Its ok man, just relax build a model and get your mind off of it. Get a funny movie to watch. Something really funny. I get the same thing that you have to sometimes, and it will go away, it just takes a little time.

then.. surprisingly.. the wolf and his companions heard a rustling in the nearby foliage of the park they so often wander, as their snouts sniffed the air, a small pudgy pink bundle of pigs wandered out, giggling amongst themselves, their little rotund bodies wriggling from the mirth they were creating, unawares of the predators nearby. Small squeals indicated that these were females, those nasty lil giggling piggie girls, flaunting their hams and little curly tails, not minding the danger signs of what was lurking in the shadows and around the corners...... (wonder what's going to happen next)

The big bad wolf looked at the bunch of little walking hams..... and he felt just a tiny bit of water dripping from the left corner of his mouth..... that little pig on the right of the bunch caught his eye... She looked cute.....
Hmmmm.... the wolf wondered if she already had plans for dinner.......
Will he ask that little piglet on the right for dinner ? We'll learn when the story continues.......
